~AMELIA~

I walking on the first floor when I saw Owen coming out of Day Care

Me: Hey baby

Owen: Hi love

Me: So what were you doing in there?

Owen: Saying bye-bye to Grace

Me: Oh she's leaving?

Owen: She's sleeping a Meredith's house tonight

Me: Oh right

Owen: So I was wondering, Cristina isn't gonna be back until, I don't know like a week, so could Grace come to the wedding? Because I mean, technically you're gonna be her step-mother so yeah, it's up t you

Me: Of course, she's your daughter, she should come, and plus it makes you happy so, I'm happy

Owen: Thank you so much

He kissed me and then left. I stood there for a while, I just realized that Owen had what he wanted forever, a kid from Cristina and I would have to work hard to keep him. I was thinking when I heard my pager ringing, it was Derek. I ran to the OR i was paged to. He was there with Ben Warren

Me: You paged me?

Derek: Yeah, I'm operating on a butterfly tumor and I need help form another neuro surgeon, so I thought of you

Me: Oh that's nice, what can I do

Derek: You need to help me enter the brain, without damaging the healthy tissue

Me: Okay, scalpel please

I looked at my watch 5 p.m it was time to check on Burke again. I didn't want to go, I knew they would ask me more, and more questions about my personal life, and I really didn't want that.

I entered the room 973, Burke's room, Burke was sitting in his bed, with two girls on each of his sides

Me: Hello Dr. Burke, Mrs. Burke

Preston: Oh well hello Dr. Yang, I would like you to meet my two girls, Morgan 14, and Emma 9.

Me: Nice to meet you girls, I just came to see if you're feeling okay

Preston: Oh I'm feeling really good, see girls this is the surgeon who saved my life, and she was one of my students back in Seattle

Morgan: Hey are you the woman who was in this documentary, how was it called again, you know the one after there was this shooting at your old hospital?

Preston: "Seattle Medical: Road to Recovery"

Morgan: Right, were you that woman?

Emma: the one that operated "at gunpoint"

Me: *coughs* um..yah, I am

Preston: You're very brave

Me: Thank you, well I see that you're good so, I'm gonna leave now

Preston: No don't leave now we're having so much fun, why don't you show us a picture of your daughter, what's her name again?

Me: Uh Grace

Emma: I love that name!

Morgan: How old is she?

Me: She..she is four

Morgan: Ooohh so cute, can we see a picture?

Me: Um.. okay sure, here

Morgan: She is so cute!!

Emma: She is really pretty!

Me: Thank you, I really need to leave now

Preston: Oh that's unfortunate, girls say bye to Dr. Yang

Emma: Bye Dr. Yang

Morgan: I hope I get to see you again

I left the room, when I looked through the window I could see Preston smiling at me, with an evil smile

Derek and I were done operating on the butterfly tumor. I washed my hands and came out of the OR,I ran into Owen again

Owen: Great, I was looking for you, I was thinking, why don't you and Grace go shopping tomorrow so you can learn to know each other, and you can get a dress for her

Me: Uh I..I don't think she really likes me

Owen: Don't worry abou that be really nice to her for the day and she'll like you, she's like her mom I know her

Me: Oh...

Owen: I meant I know this type of personality, don't worry. I'll give you the day off for tomorrow

Me: Okay

Owen: Thank you

He left, I mean she is 4 she can't be that terrible right, she is just a kid, I'm gonna be really nice to her and she'll like me, kids get influenced really fast. I didn't need to worry. I started yawning, I looked at my watch, 2 a.m I decided to go to an On-Call room to get some sleep to be ready for this shopping day tomorrow.

I was awake by somebody knocking on the door.

Me: Yes?

...: Amelia, it's me

Me: Oh hey come in

Owen: So I had Meredith on the phone earlier and she is on her way to the hospital, so we'll go together to Day Care, I'm gonna talk to Grace and you  an go to the mall or wherever you want

Me: Okay, what time is it?

Owen: 8 a.m

Me: Thanks let's go to Day Care

We started walking to Day Care, there, was Meredith with Bailey, Ellis and of course Grace

Grace: Hey dad!

Owen: Hi honey! Dr. Pearce, Grace isn't coming to Day Care today

Dr. Pearce: Okay, well have a good day Grace

Grace: Wait where am I going?

Owen: Come here honey. You know tomorrow is my wedding, right?

Grace: Yes I know

Owen: Well you're gonna go with Amelia to buy a beautiful dress for the wedding, okay?

Grace: With Amelia? Okay

Owen: Thank you, I'll see you tonight

Grace: Okay, see you tonight

She followed me out

Me: Hey I'm gonna go change, you wait here okay?

Grace: Okay

I changed into my clothes, I took my car keys, my wallet and a deep breath. RELAX!

Me: Grace let's go

Grace: Where are we going?

Me: The Seattle Mall
