"Hurry up and get your shoes on guys there going to be here any second!" Chloe squealed chucking a pair of heals at me which matched my outfit that consisted of blue skinny jeans and a loose singlet.

I slipped them on as Britty slipped hers on as well. "Britty you'll be alright," I smiled reassuringly as I noticed her shaking slightly.

"What he doesn't like me? What if I say something stupid? What if I'm overdressed? What if I'm underdressed? Jackie I'm freaking out!" She ranted.

"You'll be fine, just be yourself," I said shaking her shoulders so she would snap out of it.

"Okay, okay I'm good," she said and I stopped shaking her.

"I'll get it!" Tabby yelled sprinting to the front door as we heard a knock.

"Jackie! It's for you!" She called and I checked myself in the mirror before rushing to the door the girls following in suit.

I don't actually know what Jake looks like as I was drunk when I met him. My eyes met with soft green ones and I was awestruck the girls behind me running into my back.

His black hair hanging slightly over his green eyes, he was one of the hottest guys I had ever seen. Under his black V-neck you could tell he had muscles. If I stood next to him I would just reach his chin.

"Holy shit, you bagged a hot one," I heard Britty snicker beside me and I elbowed her.

"You must be Jake," I finally said when I could find my voice again.

"You must be Jackie," he smirked and damn that looked sexy on him!

"Um yeah.. This is Britty, Tabby and Chloe," I smiled introducing the girls.

"Nice to meet you girls," he smiled at them.

"We should go..." I trailed off walking the rest of the way to the door and I saw the girls drooling over him.

"I'll see you girls later," he smiled again at the girls.

"Bye," I heard them mumbled dreamily.

We walked down the hallway and to the car park. "Jackie!" I heard someone all and I whipped around to see Jordan.

"Oh Jordy! Britty is ready, I hope you have fun with her," I smiled cheerfully at him.

"Thanks Jackie, for everything," he smiled back and Jake led me over to a black Audi. Now that was a sexy car! But I'd rather my bike.

"Nice car," I smiled as he unlocked it and held the door open for me. Such a gentleman.

"Thanks," he sent me one of those sexy smirks before closing my door and getting into the driver's seat.

"So... Where we going?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"It's a surprise," he said widening his smirk. I like smirks but if he always does it I'm gonna get bored....

"Are you in school?" I asked making small talk.

"Nah, I'm going to uni, I skipped year 12," he shrugged. "You?"

"Senior," I smiled, "how come I've never seen you around before?"

"I only just came back, I was in uni studying from the start of last year," he said turning down some different streets.

"So do you live in Jai?" I asked.

"Yeah my step family's up here so I'm gonna stay for a while."

"What were you studying?"

"Mechanics, I'm planning to start up my own garage soon," he smiled. Yes! A smile! It's small but its not a smirk!

"What do you mean step?" Referring to his family.

"Well my dad passed away four years ago and then my mother passed away last year when I was in Uni, so I decided since I have a half brother and half sister that I'd stay in Jai and help my step mum," he said sadly and I regretted asking that.

"Oh I'm sorry for asking that," I winced mentally face palming myself.

"Nah it's alright I was never close to my father or my mum," he shrugged.

"Okay since I basically know heaps about you now, you can ask anything you want," I bargained and he smirked. Again for reals?

"How old are you?" He asked.

"Seventeen," I replied.

"What school do you go to?"

"The boarding one."

"So where do you actually live?"

"I don't have an actual home, my dad's a pilot so unless I wanted to be in a house all by myself or move around each day, it was a boarding school," I shrugged.

"What about your mum?"

"She's a cow and I wish to never see her again but apparently she's coming to visit me next week," I grumbled the last bit sourly.

"Bad topic?" He asked frowning at my tone.

"No just a bad mother, she cheated on my dad when they were together, more than once with more than one person. She was addicted to drugs and spent all our money on them," I shrugged like it was no big deal.

"Oh I'm sorry," he apologised.

"Don't worry," I waved him off and he pulled into the pier dinner.

"This is our stop," he grinned getting out of the sexy Audi and walking over to open my door.

"Thanks," I blushed at his sweet gesture and got out.

We walked up to the small diner and sat at one of the booths.

"So what is good to eat here?" I asked breaking the silence as we read our menus.

"The barra's is the best I must say," he smiled warmly at me. Yeah! A smile again!

"Have you decided what you'd like to order?" A boy came up to us with a note pad and the company's shirt on.

"Yeah can I get the barramundi with chips?" I smiled politely up at the guy.

"And for you?" He asked directing the question at Jake.

"Same as her," he smiled and the boy nodded writing down the orders and walking away.

"So tell me something about you that no one else's knows," Jake smiled as we waited for our food.

"Um... I've been arrested a few times?" It came out as more of a question as I didn't really hide my life from everyone but the secrets I had were to stay buried deep.

"And how many is a few?" He asked quirking a brow in amusement.

"Five times..." I trailed off.

"And what were they for?" He asked still amused.

"Underage drinking and illegal street racing," I smirked regretting getting caught.

"You race?" He asked surprised.

"Yeah," I shrugged since it wasn't the biggest deal in the world.

"What do you drive?"

"Yamaha YZF R1," I grinned proudly.

"Wow that's a fast one, my brother races to but I don't know what type of bike he has," he frowned thinking about it.

"Cool," I smiled.

"But isn't the races for guys only?" He asked confused.

"Yeah.... I... Um... Haven't raced in a while," I shrugged lying, luckily he didn't see through my lie and smiled.

"So how was uni?" I asked moving the conversation off me.

"It was fine, actually pretty fun," he smirked. Damn! That stupid smirk! Ugh! Is it just me or can I only concentrate on his stupid smirk.

"Girls?" I guessed knowing that he was probably a player.

"Yeah... Not proud," he frowned ashamed of himself but I knew it was all an act. Why do I find this guy so boring now?

Is it because Jesse keeps reminding me of him? Except well Jesse is hotter... No! Do not think about that jerk!

That sexy jerk... Damn you brain!

"Jackie?" Jake asked and I realised I had zoned out as my food was already in front of me.

"Sorry," I apologised starting at my food.

"It's alright," he smiled slightly at me.

"So is this really what you pictured me to be like sober?" I asked smiling at him.

"Not really, you seemed so random when you were drunk," he laughed.

"I tend to do that..." I blushed bitting my lip.

"Well at least I know your theory on what happen to the unicorns," he smirked.

"Yeah... Sorry about that..." I laughed nervously.

His phone let out a ring and he glanced down at it frowning. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"It's my step-mum I gotta take it, do you mind?" He asked standing up.

"Nope not at all," I said focusing on my food that was nearly finished.

I finished the rest just as Jake came to sit back down again, "anything wrong?" I asked noticing his frown.

"Yeah I'm sorry Jackie but she's gotta work, my brothers out and no one is there for my sister. So I have to go," he smiled sadly.

"It's alright, text me later?" I suggested getting up as he dropped a few notes on the table.

"Or we could finish the date babysitting?" He asked smirking.

"Depends, how old is your sister?" I questioned with a smirk.

"Zoe's four," he smiled as we walked to the door.

"Okay, you're my ride anyway," I grinned.

"I'll drop you off later?" He shrugged and we headed back to his car.

"Deal," I smiled and slipped into the car.

We arrived at a two story house that I believe could be mistaken as mansion. But when I teased Jake about he denied and insisted that it was just a really big house.

"Jakkyy!" A little girl squealed with black piggy tails bobbing as she rushed up to Jake and jumped into his arms.

"Hey Zoe Zoe, where's mum?" He asked glancing inside the house.

"She just left before; she said it was an e-emergnacy!" She giggled and I smiled her pronunciation.

"Okay okay! What about-" he started.

"JJ went out with his guy frwends," she smiled climbing down from Jake.

"Jaky? Who that pretty girl?" She asked frowning in confusion as she noticed me.

"That's Jackie," he smiled at the ruffling her hair.

"Is she your girlfriend?" She asked golden eyes going wide.

"No just a friend," he said shaking his head, "for now," he added sending me a wicked smile.

"Is she your best friend?" She asked her head tilted a little but in confusion.

"Yeah," he nodded.

"But I'm your best friend!" She pouted her bottom lip trembling.

"I can have two best friends Zoe Zoe," he rolled his eyes lifting her up and walking into the lounge room.

"Is this true?" She asked directing the question at me as I followed them into the lounge room.

"Yep, I have lots of best friends and so can you," I smiled.

"Your really pretty, I like your hair," she smiled as Jake put her down on the couch.

"Thank you, I love your hair," I complimented her back and she smiled up at me.

"Jaky! She said she likes my hair," she beamed up at her brother.

"Of course she would say that Zoe Zoe, because she's trying to be nice," he smirked and the little girl frowned.

"So she doesn't really like my hair?" She pouted playing with her black curls.

"Nah, you're a grommet," he laughed and her frown deepened.

"Jake!" I hissed at him kicking his shin as I saw the girls bottom lip quivering, he just shrugged. I glared at him and kicked him again. He made his sister cry!

"Don't listen to Jaky sweetie, his a lier and I think that you are the cutest thing on the plant," I smiled at the little girl crouching down to her level.

"Really?" She sniffled wiping unshed tears away.

"Really, and when you get bigger you're going to be really pretty and have lots of boyfriends," I grinned.

"But boys have cooties," she announced scrunching her face up in disgust.

I laughed at this, "true."

"Thank you Jackie," she beamed jumping into my arms for a cuddle.

"Anytime cutie pie," I smiled hugging her back.

"Jackie will you be my best frwend?" She asked hope in her widen eyes.

"Yes please!" I grinned, "now will you be mine?"

"Of course! Now you can be my big person best frwend!" She squealed matching my grin.

"And you can be my cutie pie best friend," I laughed and she jumped out of my arms.

"Jaky! Did you hear that were best frwends now!" She squealed.

"Cool Zoe Zoe, let's just watch a movie now please," he smiled.

"Okay, Jaky," she smiled sitting down on the couch as a movie played on the tv.

:O :O :O :O

Guys don't be alarmed BUT....

OMG!

Jesse's POV

The house was quiet as I got home probably due to it being past midnight. I opened the front door soundlessly and glanced around the lounge room.

Z had fallen asleep on the couch and I noticed my annoying half brother laying beside him with probably another one of his flings snuggled up to him.

I rolled my eyes and walked over to the cupboard grabbing three blankets for them. I wrapped Z carefully in one of the blankets kissing her forehead as she stirred in her sleep.

I smiled down at the sleeping angel and walked over to Jake and his floozy, I froze as I noticed the familiar body of the girl I had been trying so hard to forget about.

I gulped putting the blanket over her and smiled down sadly, if only I hadn't been so stupid! I regretted every word that came out of my mouth that day at the races and the days following.

I tried to be mean in hopes if would make me care about her less, but it didn't work and every time I said something stupid I felt like I was punching myself in the gut repeatedly.

I hated that I hadn't stepped in at the fight with her and Kate. I hated to see her hurt and the blood running out of her arms. But what I hate the most was letting her go, knowing that I would never get her back.

I chucked the last blanket at my brothers head smirking as he groaned and cracked an eye open to look at me.

"Sup bro where have you been?" He asked groggy.

"With the guys," I shrugged, "anything serious with her?" I asked nodding my head in the sleeping beauty's direction.

"Probably not, usually never is," he smirked and I fought the urge to lecture him.

"True that, you want me to carry Z upstairs?" I asked referring to Zoe.

"Yeah, I think I might just crash here and take, Jackie? Home tomorrow," he yawned trying to remember Jackie's name.

"Okay I'll see you tomorrow," I said rolling my eyes at him and scooping Z up in my arms.

"JJ? Is that you?" She murmured.

"Yes Z," I whispered walking carefully up the stairs.

"Have you met Jackie? She's my new big person best frwend," She mumbled and I smiled down at her kicking her door open.

"I thought I was your best frwend?" I pouted speaking in her tone.

"She said you can have two best frwends," she yawned and I laid her in her bed pulling her unicorn blanket over her.

"She's very smart," I smiled kissing her forehead again.

"Do you think that she'll get hurt like the rest of Jaky's fwends?" She asked her eyes drooping closed.

"Hopefully not Z, I don't want to see her hurt," I whispered smiling sadly and got up as I heard her soft snores.

I flopped down on my bed yawning as I fell into a restless sleep dreaming about the same girl that I wish I could just forget.

Like she said, she wished that she never knew me.
