I woke up in the middle of the night, I glanced at the clock '4:16' in the morning. I sighed and looked at Aiden who was so adorable all snuggled in his sheets. In that moment I thought that this silly bet wasn't worth it. In honesty I missed Aiden's kisses and hugs and other things. I needed them back. I moved towards Aiden and snuggled my body into his and he grumbled as he moved and he automatically lifted his arm for me to enter. His body was roasting whilst mine was freezing, he shivered at my body and wrapped his arm around me hugging me tightly, he also intertwined our legs together, I missed this. Tears started welling in my eyes at the thought of never having Aiden's attention again. I knew I would but I couldn't help but think what it would be like without him, my life would be lonely and fragile, he was my everything.

A tear escaped and ran down my cheek. I slipped out of Aiden's grip, I needed some fresh air. Opening the French doors I sat on the balcony, the view was amazing, the waves were peacefully crashing on the shore and the moonlight was beginning to fade but the stars were phenomenal.  Realising where I was, the rest of the tears released and I began to sob. I couldn't help but think of the future, 'what if we go to separate colleges?', 'what if things change when we get home?'. Another tear ran but was wiped away by a warm hand. I hadn't realised but Aiden was crouched down beside me with loving eyes. More tears began to flow.

"Oh my god, baby, what's wrong?" Aiden lifted me up from the chair when I flung my arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around my body pulling me so close I could barely breathe. I was properly crying now, I had passed the 'cute sobbing' stage and had now entered the 'embarrassing mauling' stage. Aiden held my shoulders, desperately looking at my face for answers.

"Tell me, what the hell's happened? Is it the bet, baby I didn't want you to get sad over it..." He was speaking rapidly now showing guilt.

"No, it's not the bet" I managed to croak out, my voice felt hoarse.

"Tell me, baby please" Aiden sat me back onto the chair and was now crouching in front of me.

"I had a bad thought" I admitted, I felt ashamed. I sounded like a little kid who had had a bad nightmare and needed her mummy.

"About what?" Aiden, even though I had awoken him seemed wide awake and as concerned as ever.

"Life without you" With that I broke down. I threw myself at him and he picked me up over his shoulder which he knew would make me laugh and it did, I was sobbing and giggling. He carried me to the bed and laid me down. Getting in the other side he rested a hand onto my wet cheek. He began to chuckle.

"Now why did you think about that for, I'm not going anywhere" With that he leant in and kissed me. I was right, this kiss was worth the wait. In fact getting all dolled up and being sexy by taking my underwear off didn't break the bet, but him seeing me in my least attractive state had instantly broken it. The kiss was long and still, his hands found their way onto my back and mine dug into his shorts, cupping that bum I'd missed so much. We kissed for another 10 minutes before I snuggled into him and fell back asleep.

When I woke up in the morning, I was still in the position in Aiden's arms, I looked at the clock again, it was '10:22'. I felt awful for waking Aiden up like that. I got up and threw on a polka dot fitted dress and began brushing my hair through. Aiden began to stir.

"Hey gorgeous" He yawned resting his hands behind him.

"Hey baby, look I'm sorry..."

"Don't be sorry Peyton" He smiled and I smiled back.

"I'm just popping down to the breakfast hall, what would you like?"

"I'll have toast" I grabbed my bag and headed out the door. Once I reached the hall, it was buzzing with people eating their breakfast, I felt a little out of place being on my own but continued to the tables. There were six long tables stretched across the edge of the long hall, covered in various exotic fruits and flavoured breads.

A hand touched my waist.

"Babe, I don't know what bread you..." I turned to see that it wasn't Aiden standing behind me but another familiar face. I couldn't put my finger on it and then I remembered, it was one of the guys from the lobby that had wolf whistled me and also seen me naked through the window. I stepped back at his touch. The man looked in his twenties, his clothes were rugged, his hair was messy, his eyes were red and his breath smelt like beer when he spoke.

"Hey babe" He mimicked, I gulped as I saw the other men on the table behind him and they were all sniggering and watching.

"Yes? What do you want because if not I have a boyfriend to get back to" I began to walk to another table but the man grabbed my hand.

"Look, I have a heavy hangover from last night but I wanted to say that you have a figure of an angel" He attempted a smile but his eyes looked me up and down.

"Sounds like your still drunk" I was getting worried now as he didn't let go.

"Come on babe, your boyfriends not here, we can go to the janitors closet and have a quickie" He swayed on his feet and his friends were distracted. I stared at him with glaring eyes as he still didn't let go, I pulled but he pulled me closer. With that I snapped, when our eyes fixed I swung my hand and viciously slapped him across the face, the force causing his body to stumble with it.

"Classy" Came a voice from behind him. I looked past to see Aiden. I had never felt so relieved to see him. The man let go and I barged my shoulder into his as I sped past towards Aiden. He wrapped his arm around me and kissed the top of my head.

"You alright baby?" Aiden looked me up and down, scanning for injuries and saw me rubbing my wrist. "What did he do?" Aiden growled and looked back up at the man. Aiden who was taller, took several steps forward until they were centimetres apart and shoved the man's chest causing him to stumble backwards into other guests.

"Aiden, no, please don't start anything. Just come back." But Aiden was getting angrier and the man taunted him "She's got nice tits", "When you're gone I'll bang her" That was it, Aiden launched and punched the man square in the face, exactly on to the red mark I'd caused by slapping him, this was unexpected as the man fell to the ground merely conscious. The man's friends stood up and separated the two, not bothering to defend their mate. I pulled Aiden's arm and we walked back to the apartment whilst other guests stared at us mesmerised.

When we got back to the apartment, Aiden laid on the bed shaking. I straddled him and he put his hands onto my hips.

"Thank-you.." I whispered caressing his cheek with my hand.

"That was an impressive slap" Aiden briefed a smile.

"I was worried what he'd do next, thank-you" I repeated.

"I love you and no-one will ever speak to you like that as long as your mine" Aiden growled.

"I will always be yours" I leant down and kissed Aiden who kissed me back passionately. He flipped us over so that now he was on top of me but supported his weight. He smiled against my lips and I put my hands onto his back causing a rhythm. When we released he looked at me longingly.

"Hmm, if only there was something you could do to cheer me up and properly say thank-you to your special hero" Aiden laughed. I punched his stomach and he laughed wheezy. "Ouch!" I continued to kiss him then thought 'why the hell not!' I was in the mood now as I slipped off his t-shirt and shorts and my dress, we wriggled under the covers were I 'worked my magic'. Like he said; I was mind-blowing.
