Wow, it has been a long time. I am back however from an amazing tour in Wellington, New Zealand with the England Indoor Nets family, where the ladies team won Gold in 7s against New Zealand to become world champs.

The under 21 team made history and missed out 2-1 on a penalty shootout against Australia!

So as I've been gone for so long I will update twice today!

Plus this chapter is only a short filler! More drama to come in the next chapter!

Chapter 14: Cool

We took our breakfast outside with us and sat out in the early morning sun. That was already scorching hot for 10am.

"This is the day to be on the beach and in the sea" Noah said sipping his smoothie,

"I would suggest we went to the pool, indoor or out, but it'll probably be busy" I said,

"Schools are still in though, it's only Universities and leavers who are off, so they shouldn't be too busy" Tayte said,

"It is Sunday though, or did you forget?" Noah said, I smiled, I did forget, all the days seem to blend into one,

"What's your Mum doing about her school?" I asked,

"Who knows, she should still be there"

"Are you going to see her before we go back to America?"

"I'm sure your parents will see to that" I then quickly changed the subject. I knew he hadn't fully processed the idea of his Mum being pregnant and moving in with Forrest yet,

"Let's go to the lakes" Noah announced,

"Lakes sounds like the next best plan," as we headed inside the home phone went off, I picked it up as I was closest and everyone else went upstairs,

"Hello

Keane? Is that you?

Arii, what's up sis? What's Damon done?

Nothing, he's done nothing and I'm fine, I was just ringing to see how everyone is.

We are all great thanks. We're heading to the lakes today. Mum and Dad are out with Jen and Forrest for the day. Where are you?

Aw, that's good, I love the lakes. Send Mum and Dad our love. We are in Italy and traveling to Milan. I'm having an amazing time and I promise you that Damon is looking after me,

I love you too, take care Arii and stay safe" she blew me a kiss down the phone and then hung up, I climbed the stairs,

"That was Arii, she sends her love and says she misses us all" I said.

Truth be told, it was weird her not being around, but I didn't miss her as much as I thought I would.

We got to the lakes at 11am and was happy to find the place pretty quiet. Though midday was the time people usually began to turn up to spend the whole afternoon. We found a nice spot with a picnic bench and dumped all our stuff. The temperature was already feeling like melting point, so the lake looked so welcoming, we all stripped off and headed in. The water was cool and refreshing, it cooled the skin. I tred water and let it wash away the heat, the burn, the niggling demon's at the gates of hell that were so close to opening. It was peaceful, until I was rudely splashed by no other than Noah, his giggle and shriek being the major give away. I dived for him, dunking him under the water, he resurfaced laughing. I grinned at him. We then, since a 29 year old, two 24 year olds and Noah, who face it, acts more like a 5 year old child than a 21 year adult, are so immature, had a massive 'who can splash the biggest wave' game. We all needed refueling after that, so I went and got us all large mixed squishes and a massive tub of sweets to share. It was getting busier.
