Frenship - 1000 Nights (Song for Chapter)

I will apologise now for the shortness of this chapter!

Because yes, it is very short!

Quote of the night:

"And once the storm is over, you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing for certain. When you come out of the storm, you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what the storm is all about" ~ Haruki Murakami

Chapter 22: Fried Chicken

Keane's POV

"Urgh I feel like death" Tayte groaned, he'd been in bed for 2 days with what I was calling summer Flu. It had come on all of a sudden Sunday night, we'd got to bed around midnight and then by 2am, we were up and Tayte was acting as if he was dying,

"You've been saying that constantly for the past 2 day's babe"

"Well it's true," I rolled my eyes,

"You are looking so much better"

"No I'm not," he answered, I laughed and kissed his forehead, "Don't leave me, I get bored"

"If you're so ill, then you should be sleeping"

"Sleeping is boring though" he said smiling,

"I know you are feeling better, you just love me waiting on you hand and foot, not that I mind though" he grinned at that response, I climbed on the bed fully next to him,

"If I give you this cold, I'll do exactly the same for you" he said,

"Is that your plan is it, to get me ill?"

"No of course not"

"I don't care if it is. I love you so much"

"I know and I love you even more"

I flicked the television on, Star Trek into Darkness was on one of the film channels,

"Looks like we're set for the next couple of hours" I said,

"I have soup" Noah then called, I groaned,

"Come in bub" I said, he kicked open the door carrying a tray of soup,

"Homemade tomato and basil soup from Mum, with some crusty bread...ooh Star Trek, I love this one" he said, putting the tray at the bottom of the bed and then sitting on the floor watching the TV,

"Noah you are not staying, thank you for the soup, but get out, otherwise you'll catch this cold" I said,

"I don't care"

"Well we do" he groaned and stood up,

"Spoilsports, I'll go watch it with Angelo then"

"You do that," he grinned and then left the room. I managed to move and bring the soup up without spilling any and we both enjoyed it whilst watching Jim, Bones, Spock and the gang.

If you were wondering whether I'd spoken with my parents, Dad, yes, Mum not entirely. Had she told me anymore about this mystery guy, not at all, but I know that there are so many secrets in an around this family, that at some point they're all going to come seeping out.

After the film had finished I made Tayte go to sleep, so I left him and brought the tray and empty bowls downstairs, Mum was alone in the kitchen, I placed it down on the side, she looked at me,
