Chapter 19: Down Below
"An hour and 45 minutes" Noah said, "I'm bored already"
"We haven't even set off yet" I answered,
"That is the point"
"I'm sure Angelo will keep you entertained" Tayte said,
"Have you seen his face? This is the Noah face that means he is in stubborn mode and no matter what you do or say, he's going to say he's bored or get all stressed" Angelo said,
"Well this is going to be a long drive" I replied, "Very long"
"I want some sweets" Noah said, as I pulled away,
"Not at 8am in the morning you're not" I said,
"But we're on holiday" He groaned,
"I don't care"
"You're not Mum and Dad" He retorted,
"Good, because I don't want to be"
"I didn't mean that" He said, "I'm just being a grouch, ignore me"
"Everyone's allowed a grumpy day" I said, "But I'm not used to you being grumpy" he smiled,
"I'll be alright once I've got some food in me and we're almost there, mainly the food"
"I can't believe we're heading home tomorrow?" Angelo said,
"We need to spend much longer here to explore the best parts" Tayte answered,
"Then we have 2 weeks before we go back to America"
"How did we being in England end up being a month rather than 3 weeks?" I asked,
"Because we spent a week away at the beginning, when you were in London and we were in Windsor" Noah replied,
"I don't think I could spend a whole month with them anyway, it's weird having adults around" I said,
"Do you think you're ever going to fully forgive them?" Noah asked opening the window,
"I hope I will, but truthfully I don't know"
...
After we stopped off at some services and filled our stomachs with breakfast Noah was back to his usually crazy self,
"So when you're down and out and all is lost, give you food and you'll bounce back again, that is duly noted" I said, he grinned,
"I love myself some food" He answered,
"So where actually are we heading?" Tayte asked,
"Marble Arch Caves, there's also lots of different forests and castles to explore, I think Game of Thrones is filmed somewhere around here, not that I have got around to watch it yet"
"So lots of walking and exploring today?" I asked,
"Yes, but the caves look amazing and you get to go on a boat underground, how awesome is that" He said smiling,
