1 year before season 1

It's been about two weeks since Happy transferred from Tacoma to Charming. He was living at the clubhouse and don't get him wrong he loved his brothers, but there comes a point in someones life when they want their own space. That's exactly what Happy's doing. He was looking for a house on the border of Charming. Something a nice size with a big backyard. He was borrowing Juices computer looking for houses when Jax comes up to him.

"What are you doing brother?" Jax exclaimed looking over the killa's shoulder seeing the house he was looking at.

"Looking for houses." He stated, grabbing the beer that a crow eater gave him. Every time he looked at Jax he saw Valentine. Every time he looked at Jax the feelings he had for the young woman resurfaced. He wanted to tell his VP about the feelings, wanted him to know that he was serious and legit about wanting his sister. But he couldn't bring himself to say anything. Jax was going through stuff with his wife, Wendy, and Hap didn't want to cause him anymore stress than he already had.

"Why don't you bring Val to look at the houses with you? She has a good eye for that type of shit." Jax had a strong feeling that the club's enforcer had feelings for his baby sister.  He caught Happy looking at her from time to time. Caught him smiling to himself when she talks about things she's passionate about. Jax didn't like the idea of his little sister becoming an old lady to the hit man of the club but he knew deep down in his heart that if it was meant to happen, it will. He liked the idea though, of someone like Happy being with her to protect her but that was the only good thing about it.

"If she's down for that then she could come. I have three houses to look at later today."

"I'll call her for you." Jax walked out of the clubhouse smiling to himself. He felt like Gemma, being matchmaker an all. He pulled out his phone and called his sister. Smiling to himself when she said yes.

Couple Hours Later

"Ready to go Hap?" Val asked as she sat next to him at the bar. Happy looked at her and downed his beer that he had been drinking. He looked her over. She was wearing her usual denim light blue shorts with a solid black tank top. She had her hair up in a messy bun on top of her head. She had on flip flops and her toe nails were painted black matching her finger nails. Val dressed like this everyday but everyday she got more and more beautiful to Happy. The more they talked the more Happy realized just how beautiful she was.

"Yeah." Happy got of the bar stool and lead the way to his bike. Val was two steps behind him the whole time. He could hear her flip flops clicking against the asphalt as she walked, the sound usually makes him vexed but coming from her, he couldn't help but keep his hatred for flip flops to himself. He mounted his bike and put of his helmet. He let her get settled behind him before starting up the Harley driving out of the lot.

He was taking the long roads getting to the houses. The first and second house was a bust. Val either said that there was no space for anything in the backyard or the foundation of the house was coming apart. Some dumb shit he didn't understand. He let her walk around the houses making little notes of the things she liked in a house and the things she didn't like.

The last house that Happy and Val were seeing today was on the outskirts of town. It had a long driveway and was surrounded by woods. It was closed off, the way that he liked it. The realtor was driving in front of them and was already at the house. Happy was going slow so that both he and Val could she the landscape.

When they pulled up to the house, Valentine got off the bike first and put her helmet on Hap's handle bars. She looked at the light grey house. The house had cheery wood french double doors leading into the house. It had a white wrap around porch with three steps you had to walk up to get in the house. It had two big windows on either side of the door, the shutters being black. The grass was green and had little shrubs growing along side on the porch and house. There was a car port that had only some pots for plants lined up against the side of the house.

"This house is a three bedroom ranch with an office that could be made into a forth bedroom. The master bedroom has a full bath in it and there is a bathroom for the rest of the house. It has an eat in kitchen and an dinning room.  Also a family room and a mud room." The woman in her late fifties says to Happy and Val. Val smiles and walks forward asking to see the house. Happy walks behind them and smirks at Val's expression when the three of them walk into the house. To the left from the front door  was the dinning room and to the right was the family room. A head of them was the kitchen that needed some major upgrading and the sliding glass door to get to the backyard. Val looked out the door and saw a little porch leading down to the grass. To the right of the sliding glass door,  there was a door leading into the mud room where the washer and dryer machine is, along with some hooks to hang stuff up. There was a small linen closet that has an old broom and some rags inside of it.

"I really like it so far Hap. Can you show as the bedrooms, office, and bathrooms please?" Happy couldn't help but think Jax did a great thing sending Val with him. In all honesty he was going to pick the first house but he wanted to spend more time with Val that he told Jax that he had three houses to see. He picked this house to show Val to see if she liked it, to see if she could imagine herself in it. And so far it looks like it's working. That was one good thing that Happy was good at, reading people. He could see her brain working thinking about the future even if it wasn't with Happy.

The realtor showed the office first, it only being a bedroom without a door on it and was the same decent size as the other two bedrooms. The two bedrooms and office had the same size closet and had two windows each looking out to the backyard or the woods. It being an one story home, the rooms were a great size. The house bathroom needed upgrading and a new paint job. The realtor left the master bedroom for last and let Happy and Val go on first. When Valentine opened the wood door she saw a big window looking out into the woods with a window seat under it. The room had a walk in closet and had room for a king sized bed along with two night stands and two dressers. The bathroom had double sinks and a massive shower that smelt like mold. Now that she thought about it, the whole entire smelt weird.

"What do you think Mrs. Lowman?" Happy's heart dropped at the realtors innocent mistake. Val didn't seem to be bothered by it at all. Happy still glared at the old realtor, making the realtor's heart fall to the floor.

"Please call me Val. I like it. The whole house needs to be upgraded and a paint job. The backyard needs a lot maintenance but other than that and the smell of the whole house, I really like it and think it'll be good. What do you think Hap? Do you like it?" Val asked looking at him with her big baby blue eyes.

He looked around the master bedroom and smiled and nodded.

"I'll take it."
