Liliana's pov

"I'm going to have you start back off slow today just to get you back into the swing of things. Right now I have you set to do a few consults" I tell Amelia as we sit in a conference room. Today is her first day starting back after she was on temporary leave because she was drinking again. She is sober now, so I spoke with Bailey and she agreed that we could let her return. Amelia and I still haven't spoken much about the disagreement we had weeks ago and I haven't brought it up since my main focus with Amelia is that she's back healthy right now.

"Are you sure? I'm fine to operate Liliana. I'm still a very capable surgeon" she says

"And I'm aware of that, but I just think it's best to start off slowly on your first day back" I say

"Okay, well you're the boss so whatever you say goes" she says and I nod before handing her, her files for the day then leaving to the front desk to grab my iPad, but as soon as I get to the front desk I hear what sounds like a loud explosion outside.

"What the hell was that" I frown as I run towards the ambulance bay and just as I thought I see that there was an ambulance explosion

"Coming through" April says rushing in with a patient as a crowd begins forming

"Oh my God" I sigh

"Garcia, I need you with me. Trauma 2" April says before I follow behind her to the room

"What the hell was that" Jackson frowns joining us in the room a short while later

"Ambulance exploded" I say as April and I examine the patient

"What" he frowns

"Partial thickness burns to the upper chest" April says

"Follow the light with your eyes" I instruct the patient as I shine the light into his eyes. "Okay, good" I say as I finish

"What happened" the patient asks as he breathes heavily

"You're rig exploded, but don't worry we've got you, okay. You're gonna be okay" April assures him

"Garcia, they need you in trauma one" Bailey says walking into the room

"Okay" I nod

"Have they figured out why that rig blew up" Jackson asks

"Fire departments looking at it now" Bailey says

"Oh my God. It was me. I didn't secure the oxygen tank. Johnny's always saying...he's going to kill me" the patient cries

"Hey I need you to stay calm for me. It was an accident and he knows that" I assure him before I have to rush out of the room to trauma 1.

"Let me get in there establish vascular control" Riggs says as him and Owen work on the patient and I walk into the room

"Oh great" I mumble knowing that this means there is going to be a lot of bickering because Riggs and Owen can't agree on anything.

"No, we're gonna pack him and take him up" Owen says

"And then we'll be able to see what the hells going on. He's open right now. Just let me work" Riggs argues as I begin examining the patient
