"It boils down to intelligence, Leo. Brains. And you don't have either."

Leo reached over the back of his seat to swing a muscled arm at the back of Aiden's head. He ripped his arm off her shoulders and used it to dodge Leo's hit, having to steady his sunglasses between chuckles.

Marley ducked, "Guys!" She shrieked, "moving bus! Possible collateral damage!"

"Call me dumb again dumbass," Leo grunted, the both of them finally settling back into their seats.

"Du-mmm." Marley shoved a hand over Aiden's mouth, glaring at him even though their sunglasses were covering both their eyes.

She moved her hand as soon as she felt the shifting of his lips. They were parted. Aiden wrapped an arm around her shoulders again, but this time he squeezed her tighter.

"You seem to like shutting me up." he murmured, his breath brushing against the side of her head. Marley froze like a deer in the headlights, her rationality taking a hitchhike at the sound of his deep, masculine voice, "Is there something else you want me to do with my mouth?"

Her whole face burned and she shoved and squirmed and thrashed out of his hold, "Aiden Matthews! I swear to god!"

His laughter was loud, infections, and entirely genuine as he held her against him, unfazed by her most forceful attempts to get away.

She crossed her arms and turned around to the seats across the aisle, where Elena and Gabby were sitting together. Gabby was staring intently down at her phone, starting a new Words with Friends game because Leo had lost (hence why Aiden and his best friend started fighting in the first place, Aiden can't seem not to tease Leo about something).

"Hey, guys," Marley said to the girls, acutely aware of Aiden's eyes on her. Elena was looking between the two of them with a wide grin on her face.

"Marley?"

"Hey! Thank god we're moving. It's a million degrees outside." Elena was attempting her best neutral expression now, and it was quite impressive.

Marley felt the arm on her shoulder squeeze her tighter against his body. She ignored it.

"I hope it gets cooler in the marshes." Marley agreed, "How'd you do on those questions?"

"Seriously. This again?"

"I suffered through like, 15-28-"

"Oh shit yeah. Those were the viral categorization charts, right? Where you had to fill in every individual-"

"It was a pain in the ass." Kelly interrupted Bree, the both of them also jumping into Team Marley.

Bree was the most believable 'actress' though. She held her expression with control, which was expected. Her heart was set on CalArts for acting next year.

Marley felt a tugging on her hair, quickly batting his hand away from her ponytail like it was a pesky fly.
"Spitfire."

"Well, at least that's over. We're going to be talking about school all day, can we talk about the Halloween costume situation instead?" Elena chirped, leaning over the side of her seat so she could also address Bree and Kelly.

"Oh! Oh! I was thinking...what if we did a group costume?!" Kelly bounced in her seat excitedly.

"Fine! I'm sorry." he rested his forehead onto her shoulder.
