Destiny P.O.V

I grabbed my clutch and fixed my blazer a little. Making sure I was put together I made my way out my bedroom door.

Walking down the stairs I grabbed my keys off the table and went to the car, not ready for today's events but whatever.

As I was backing up out the driveway I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. I grabbed it quickly and glanced down to see it was August calling me.

"Hello" I huffed

"Where you at? " He questioned

I really didn't wanna be bothered right now and August was annoying the hell out of me.

" August I'm on my way to the court house" I said switching lanes

He sighed

"Destiny I know you don't wanna do this today but like u said u gotta fight for what's right." He encouraged

Aug was right, I couldn't sit here and sulk about something I have no control over.

" Okay Bae well I'm here now, I'll call you when I get out " I said sighing

Hanging up the phone I made my way into the courthouse.

Following the directions from the court order I soon entered Court Room D. Walking inside I saw Chris and Mama Joyce. I sat down and said a silent prayer to myself:

"Dear God,

I come to you today to watch over Me as I sit in this courtroom fighting for what I believe in. My daughter is my heart and I can't live without my heart. I know I've made some decisions in the past that I'm not proud of, I just don't want the wrong decision to made today. I pray everything works in my favor Amen."

Once I was done, they were ready to begin

"All rise" The bailiff

We all stood as we waited for  Mr. Judge Alex to come out.

He walked out and sat in his chair, pounded his gavel ready to begin.

"The court comes in session today for the Plaintiff Christopher Brown wanting full custody of Seiko Brown The child of the defendant Destiny Isaac" The bailiff stated to Judge Alex

" Okay Plaintiff state your case" Judge Alex asked talking to Chris

" Well recently I found out that Seiko was mine, The defendant and I were in a relationship for over a year before some things happened and we lost touch, when we lost touch I didn't even know she was pregnant but while we were together she cheated on me with some cat August, me and him got problems with each other and currently The defendant and August are together living under the same roof and I don't want my daughter around some one like that knowing I'm her father and he's not" Chris stated

I just can't believe him and how jealous of a person he really is.

"Okay defendant state your case" Judge Alex said

" Well at the time I was going through some things and I did cheat on Chris but he failed to mention he cheated on me as well, after we lost touch I decided to move. Once I had Seiko I did and do everything in my power to make sure she has what's best for her.  Chris is just jealous, he wants everything to go his way and not think things through. Saying I'm an unfit mother really gets to me because like Chris said his self he JUST found out Seiko was his, he wasn't there when I had her or when I was homeless because I had nothing! Even if he didn't know I was pregnant saying I'm an unfit mother is out of line because he doesn't like my boyfriend." I stressed to Judge Alex

He listened to both of us go back and forth about what was right and what was wrong til he finally came to the conclusion

"Okay I see where you are both coming from, Chris I understand that u are jealous but at the same time want to get yo know your daughter, Destiny I understand that you love your daughter and you are willing to do anything to provide for her well being, So I'm not going to grant you full custody Mr. Brown But I will grant you guys Co-Parenting. Seiko has the right to be involved in Chris's life.  You guys will meet up with an counselor next week to start the co parenting.  The case in now closed" Judge Alex explained as he pounded his gravel

I was honestly relieved that He gave us Co-Parenting instead, Judge was right Chris does have to right to be in Sei's life.

I grabbed my things and made my way out to my car. I was putting my purse in the backseat, and about yo get in the car but Chris happened to stop me.

"Yes Chris?" I questioned

Chris P.O.V

I realized what I did was fucked up. Calling Des and unfit mother was way outta line. She was right I am jealous. I didn't get to experience the first birthday, or the first steps so I wear pissed. I was more mad at myself because I didn't try hard enough to get Des back.

"Yes Chris" Des questioned

I huffed

"Look I wanna apologize for what I said I was wrong and it was way out of line I-

"Did Momma J make u come over and say this? " She questioned

"What?  No I came over to apologize because I know what I did was wrong" I preached

"Honestly Chris I have nothing to say to you, like u hurt my feelings. You call me an unfit mother and then u file for FULL CUSTODY of a child u JUST found out was your after u denied her. How can u dare come up to me and apologize like shit sweet, Fuck u and your apology. Cause it ain't doing shit for me and Sei." She yelled

I felt horrible, I really fucked up. Damn

"Des-

"Chris what do u want?  Huh? What, U want a happy ending like in the movies?  well that shit ain't happening. U fucked up Chris and u broke my heart once again by calling me an unfit mother. Were u there?  Nooo Chris you weren't. I can't believe u even fixed yo lips to say some outta line shit like that to me." She huffed

By now she was crying, I never knew I hurt her this bad.

I grabbed her and tried to hug her

"Nooo Chris just leave me alone you already caused enough trouble in my life, Just goo! " She screamed at me

I didn't let her go, she started punching me in the chest and hitting me but I didn't care. She finally gave up and let me hold her.

I wiped away her tears and held her like when we were together. I miss her honestly but my pride wouldn't let me tell her.

"I'm sorry" Was all I could say
