happy update and happy new year!!

I know it has been a long wait for this chapter and it is not as long as the others, but it is still an important chapter.

My absence was due to my college graduation (yay i'm done!), spending the holidays with my family, celebrating my 22nd birthday (it was yesterday!!) and moving back into my home.

However, i haven't forgotten about you all and I wanted to get this chapter out before the new year, so here it is.

And i fully expect you all to be PISSED at the end of it...but anyways...

I love you all and remember, it's not over yet ;)

For the first time in a long time, I woke up in the morning and I was alone.

Yes, there were nights when scheduling had made it to where I stayed at the White House and Harry at his apartment, or the nights when we had been fighting and didn't stay together. But I always knew when I woke up, no matter how we were feeling about each other, I had him there to go to.

But he wasn't here anymore.

I couldn't just call him and ask him what he was doing.

I couldn't call him at all.

I laid there in bed, wondering where he could be when there was a quiet knock on the bedroom door.

"Come in." I said and Mila opened the door.

I smiled at her as she came up to me and crawled up on the bed next to me.

"Hey." I said as she cuddled into me. "Did you sleep okay?"

She nodded her little head.

"Will Harry come back today?"

"Not today." I sadly smiled.

"When?"

"I don't know. But we'll be okay until he gets back."

She turned on her side so she could look at me better.

"Sissy, can I tell you secret?" She asked me.

"Of course."

"I ate cookies last night."

This revelation made me laugh.

"It's okay. I had ice cream last night." I told her and we both laughed.

"Anyone home?!" I then heard a loud male voice call and I smiled, knowing who it was.

"Upstairs!" I yelled back and a minute later my bedroom door opened to reveal Jamie.

"Jamie!" Mila grinned as he walked in.

"Hey Mila munch." He smiled at her and walked over to sit on the bed. "How are you
doing, Emmy?"

"I'm doing alright." I gave him a small smile.

"Yeah?" He matched my expression. "Well I came to hang out with you and Mila today."

"Thanks." I reached out for his hand.

"So what do you want to do today? We can go shopping, we can make cookies, go to the movies, whatever you want to do." He suggested.

"Let me get ready first and then i'll decide." I said. "Okay, Mils. Go with Jamie and get dressed."

Jamie and Mila left to go to get her ready while I got out of bed and walked through the bathroom to my closet.
