"Hameeda!" Ya Abdul shouted from downstairs.

Ha'an! this is the hundredth time he's calling me!

I'm coming!

I quickly took my bag and I dashed out of the room.

"Hameeda!" He shouted again.

I made my way down the stairs "Oh ni Hameedatu! see how you are calling my name like yo-...".

I quickly kept quiet when I saw Baba standing with Ya Abdul  at the end of the staircase.

Shit.

"Is that how you talk to your older brother?!, he has been calling your name and waiting for you since and that is how you address him? Hameeda! Ki kiyaye ni! Auntin ki and rumaisa have been waiting for you at the airport! Leave now before you make me more angry!" Baba bellowed.
(be wary of me!)

I quickly rushed out of the house with Ya Abdul following suit.

He opened the car and  I entered, he started the car before driving off.

I held back a sob as my lips quavered.

Ya Abdul sighed "keh ma Hameeda, kin San Baba, you do things that provoke hi-.." (you too hameeda, you know baba).

I cut him off "you are siding with him?"

"I'm not siding with him, we both know the old man has anger issues" he chuckled  "..and small things trigger him, you should be used to it by now, remove that frown from your face , you know Aunty would get worried when she sees you upset" ya Abdul said.

"You are treating me with Chinese food tonight, it's because of you he shouted at me" I said, scowling at him.

He rolled his eyes but he smiled "sure mama na."

My mother passed away during the process of giving birth to me, so i was named after her, I hear from my aunties that my dad was in shock but he was quick to recover, he got married again after six months to my stepmom, Aunty.

Aunty has been nothing but sweet and caring to me and Ya Abdul, she was the one who raised us. She gave birth to a daughter, Rumaisa, two years into her Marriage.

And Rumaisa isn't exactly who you'll call Caring.

Her attitude  is definitely something she didn't get from her mother, Apart from that, she was an absolute carbon-copy of Aunty.

Rumaisa is a brat! Absolutely rude and I can even say evil, that girl is a menace.

The only exception to her rudeness is Ya Abdul, her parents included obviously, unless she wants to get herself whooped.

The civilized part of her however unfortunately doesn't reach me so I have to deal with her irritating existence everyday.

"We're here" Ya Abdul announced.

"Hmm?"

He rolled his eyes. "I said we are here!!"

He's so sassy!

"Gosh! No need to shout" I said sending him a glare.

He chuckled as he turned off the car and he went out, I also went out and I closed the door behind me.

"Can you spot then from here?" I asked to him.

He squinted his eyes "yeah..they are over...there!" He pointed to the entrance of the Airport where Aunty and Rumaisa were looking around, probably looking for us.
