Umar's POV

I stood up and I walked to where she was seated

I sat down on the chair next to hers

And she looked up at me in surprise

I slowly raised up my hand

She followed the movement of my hand with her eyes until it gently rested on her cheek and she turned to look at me again

My eyes roamed around her beautiful face as she slowly blinked at me in confusion

"Hameeda" I whispered

I couldn't remember the last time I called her before today

And from the look in her eyes she couldn't too

I placed my other hand on her cheek and I brought my face closer to hers

I placed my forehead on hers before I closed my eyes "forgive me"

I could feel her gaze on my face and before I knew it, she started to cry

I immediately opened my eyes and I looked at her

I hated seeing her cry

She had no idea how much it pained to see her cry while holding my hand the day Aliya passed away

I wanted to hug her and tell her that I forgave her

But I couldn't let myself do that

I tried to wipe her tears away but she moved her head downwards away from my view

"I-..I" she said as she tried to wipe her tears away with the sleeve of her hijab

She didn't want me to see her tears

"I'm sorry Hameeda"

She looked up at me with a mix of emotions in her eyes before she tried to move away from me

I quickly held her hand before she moved away "I am so sorry"

She turned to look at me again

I let her take her time looking at me, it felt like forever before she looked away

"I hate you" she said, this time her voice clearer than before as she held my hand

I couldn't help but smile at her

I brought our hands up and I placed a kiss on her fingers

"Umar" she said

"Na'am Hameeda"

She brought our hands downwards and I frowned at her actions

She placed my hand on her stomach and she released it

I froze

Completely

I could feel my heart beating through my chest

I pressed my hand a little bit more against her stomach to confirm if it was what I was thinking

No

It can't be

I looked down at her and I gaped at her with wide eyes

I looked down again before I looked up at her

She looked amused

I looked down again as I tugged her hijab up, and I raised the shirt she was wearing up a little

And a big bump was staring back at me

I gaped at it

I looked back at her again
