"You really don't want to come along, babe? I know you don't like these exclusive parties," Jungkook said while looking into the mirror one last time, "But my parents would love to see you, too."

"I need to finish this paperwork, otherwise Jinyoung is going to kill me." The woman took of her glasses and rubbed her tired eyes. He immediately felt bad for her.

Ever since they had Haeun, Seohyun spent most of the time at home taking care of their little daughter and the house. Now that she was starting to work as a translator again, it became even more stressful.

"I don't want to leave you alone, but Dad really wants me to meet some important people. Call me if you need anything, okay?" He kissed her on the cheek.

"Don't worry about me and just try to have fun, honey. I heard that a lot of celebrities are going to be there. Ugh, I envy you so much." He chuckled. Seohyun really was too kind. She easily could've asked him to stay at home and help her with the housework, but she rather wanted him to enjoy the night with his family and friends.

"Don't stay up too late. I'll see you later!" And with these words, he left her sitting at the kitchen.

Jungkook entered the huge mansion and was greeted by one of the many housemaids that worked here tonight. A lot of known faces where invited and of course no one would miss out the birthday party of famous designer Kim Namjoon.

"Jungkook!" A familiar voice called, so he turned around and saw his parents waving at him.

"Mom, Dad. I haven't seen you in a while." The young man slowly approached the beautiful looking couple. His mother was wearing a blue, tight dress from Namjoon's latest summer collection. He recognised it immediately, because he remembered how much Seohyun had liked it after being invited to the fashion show. 

"You look handsome, honey. Where's Seohyun?" His mom hugged him tightly and asked the waiter for another glass of red wine. Even though his parents were in their late 40's, he couldn't help but smile at how young and powerful they looked. The Jeon family really was popular and people all around the world admired them. His father, Jeon Dong Guk, was the founder of auto-parts manufacturer Hanyang Precision and many years ago, he fell in love with famous actress Young Ae, Jungkook's mother. Now they just had their 28th anniversary and Jungkook really hoped that his and Seohyun's marriage would be strong enough to reach his parents level one day. Sadly, in the last few weeks the couple became a little bit more distant with each other, but he didn't want to think about that now. After all, Jungkook was here to have some fun.

"She decided to stay at home for work," he answered and took a sip of the alcohol in his hand. Young Ae smiled.

Other than her husband, she didn't approve of the marriage with Seohyun at first. Now that they had their first child, she decided to keep her opinion to herself and tried to become more friendly with the young woman. Secretly, she wanted Jungkook to meet someone else and leave her. Because in Young Ae's eyes, the 28 year old was nothing but average.

"Oh, that's too bad. We should invite her to dinner someday, am I right honey?" Dong Guk nodded and put his arm around her waist. "Anyway, go meet Namjoon and his boyfriend, son. You know how close your mother is with them."

"I heard that a few of his models are here, too. Try to make some new friends! You're only 26, but even my life is crazier than yours. I hate how domestic you've become." Jungkook rolled his eyes. He was already used to his mother's nagging.

"Mom, please don't start again. I'll talk to you guys later."

"I hate that bitch. Seriously, who does she think she is?" Jimin said while fixing his hair angrily.
