"J-jimin?" Seohyun stuttered, confusion plastered on her face as she stared at him in disbelief.

"It's so good to see you, Noona! I hope I'm not interfering with something."

"What? No, I mean-"

"Great!" He giggled and invited himself in, "Woah, it's been a while. Have I ever told you that I really like your place?"

Seohyun closed the door behind them, putting on a forced smile when the model turned around to face her again. He was definitely the last person she would've expected.

"Thanks.. Jungkook isn't here, if you're searching for him. It's just me and Haeun."

Jimin looked down, and that was when he finally noticed the little girl hiding behind her mother's legs. A doll in her hands hid most of her lower face, but he definitely recognized these innocent doe eyes. She didn't look very much like her father, he thought, except for her dark hair and fair skin. Apparently, she inherited more of Seohyun's genes.

"You must be Haeun," he chuckled and crouched down, but the girl only hugged her mother tighter, "How adorable. It's nice to meet you, sweetie."

God, Jimin fucking hated kids. And the way she was only staring at him made him upset. Didn't she know how to talk? He was getting impatient, and that bratty attitude of hers was the last thing he needed after her father had made him go through hell in the last few days.

"Haeun, don't be rude," Seohyun said, "Won't you greet him too?"

The girl looked up at her with a sad expression, and she immediately understood why Haeun was being hesitant. After all, the friendship to Jimin was one of the reasons why Jungkook had stopped paying attention to her. With a small nod, she tried to assure her that everything was fine and that she didn't have to be scared of him.

Haeun then stepped forward, holding out her hand and trying to return the friendly smile he gave her. Still, there was something unsettling about it. Jimin's grin seemed strained, it was like that of a doll.

He was perfect.

Maybe a little too perfect.

He looked beautiful, and she remembered seeing his face on TV and even in real life when they once visited some kind of event. Under other circumstances, she probably would've been happy to see a celebrity. But now, she just wanted to get away from him and hide in her room, afraid of how lifeless and tired he looked.

Jimin took her smaller hand in his and squeezed it, never breaking the eye contact as they stared at each other with big curiosity. The celebrity didn't know what to think, to be honest. He was shaking hands with the girl whose father had fucked him not even twenty- four hours ago, and Seohyun was smiling down at them, not knowing that he was the one ruining her dreams of having a nice and happy family. He was the enemy, the man who caused trouble to make her life as hard as possible.

And she wasn't suspecting anything.

She even trusted him enough to let him near her child.

Jimin's smile widened.

"It's nice to meet you, Haeun."

"H-hello," the girl stuttered, shaking his hand quickly before returning to the spot behind her mother's legs, making Jimin chuckle and also rise up to face Seohyun.

"She's adorable," he said while trying to sound as genuine as possible, "But you're probably wondering why I'm here today. Don't worry, I'm not searching for Jungkook. I'm here for you."

"Me?"

Jimin smirked and started walking further into the house, closely followed by its owners until they stopped in the living room. "I'd like to think that we're friends, Seohyun. And friends visit each other, am I right?"
