Jungkook visibly tensed, staying still with a plate in his hand. He had completely forgotten about Jimin's wet clothes, shit. He also wondered how Seohyun knew they were Jimin's, after all it could've been anyone's.

Wait.

Had she seen them?

The doctor started to panic, hands shaking as he put the dishes down, afraid they'd fall and shatter if he didn't. His throat suddenly felt dry and craved nothing more than a glass of cold water, sweat running down his forehead as he realized that maybe this was the end, the end of his marriage and family life, the end of something so special and yet so broken.

Seohyun would leave him and take Haeun with her.

Everything would disappear in a matter of seconds.

No, no this couldn't be it.

Jungkook tried to remember if he had done anything sexual with Jimin during his visit, thinking really hard, but besides a few hot makeout sessions in the pool, Jungkook hadn't had any intercourse with him.

Fuck, what if she saw us kissing?

He wasn't able to look into Seohyun's eyes, too scared to see what kind of emotion would be hidden behind them. She had always been the calm and reserved type, he thought, never really having dramatic mental breakdowns. Seohyun was good at hiding her feelings, so maybe she had just played along? Maybe she didn't completely lose her mind during their fight because she had wanted to test Jungkook? Maybe this was a trick question too, maybe she already knew about his infidelity and now waited for him to confess?

Seohyun didn't.

But seeing Jungkook's sudden uneasiness made her feel nervous too.

Why wasn't he answering?

Did she say something wrong?

"Jungkook?"

He snapped out of his thoughts and stood up straight, gathering all of his courage to face her. As they stared at each other, the doctor searched for any signs which would've proved that his assumptions had been right, signs which would've proved that he really did have something to be anxious about.

But the only thing he could find was worry.

Seohyun worried about him.

Why would she do that if she already knew about his affair?

This thought alone gave him hope, making it easier to breath again.

"Clothes?" He managed to utter, trying to sound as steady as possible. Jungkook really didn't want to talk about this, so he might as well just act oblivious.

"Yes, I found wet clothes in the washing machine that are definitely not ours. And after seeing Jimin's car leave our driveway, I figured they must be his."

Jungkook sighed, relief washing over him. All he needed was a good excuse in order to calm Seohyun down. She had only seen Jimin leave, not how he had seduced her husband. Still, they needed to be more careful. What if she had returned a few mintues earlier? No, Jungkook didn't even want to imagine. He really was a lucky guy.

"Jimin stopped by and we had a little pool party. His clothes got wet, so I gave him mine and promised to wash his."

"A pool party?"

"Yup."

"Did you guys plan on doing that or..?

"Well, he found out about our fight and wanted to check on us. We then decided to hang out, so it really isn't a big deal."
