Part 61 - Nakiris

Days later~

(name) was looking around at the building that her sister was making for her own booth which is on the uptown area. "(name)-chan~", Alice hugged her from behind, "are you going to join me with my booth and Ryo-kun~?". "I'd love to help around but I already kinda... want to help Soma... since he's alone".

"What are you talking about, Alice? The booth application deadline was a long time ago!", Erina frowned at her. Alice pulled away and narrowed her eyes on Erina, "hmph! I can still grab someone else's booth location with a Cooking Battle", she said with fire in her eyes. (name) tried to calm both of them, "Eri-nee-chan you don't need to be harsh on Alice-nee-chan.... And Alice-nee-chan, I have an idea for you", she grinned at the end.

"(name)-chan, don't spoil her too much", Erina whined, while Alice hugged the younger girl, "mou~ this is why (name)-chan is my favorite baby cousin", she stuck out a tongue at Erina.

"(name)-chan good to see you here!", a voice called out, revealing a grinning Yukihira, he added, "and what are you Nakiris fighting about?". (name) waved at him with her signature sweet smile. He waved back with a small blush on his usual pale cheeks.

"ara Yukihira-kun", Alice smile.

"Don't call us that!", Erina fumed.

"have you start researching, Soma?", (name)'s soft voice reached his ears and he couldn't help but grin even more. "I did, that's wh-", before he could finish his words Hisako come running as she was calling out to Erina, "Erina-sama! Due to traffic, the contractors handling interior construction will be an hour late".

Erina crossed her arm and nodded her head. (name) turned her head a bit to look at Tsubasa who was looking at the tablet, "Tsubasa, would you mind set my meeting schedule with Takumi an hour later?". Tsubasa nodded his head and took out his phone as he dialed Takumi's number.

Yukihira raised an eyebrow at what (name) just said before clearing his throat, "I guess you guys have time to spare, cuz I'm gonna make some dishes I used to serve back in the diner, can you guys be the taste-testers?".

Hisako pressed her lips in a thin line, "just an hour, Yukihira".

While in the kitchen, as the two conversed with each other, (name) silently watched Yukihira cook, whereas Hisako helped with the onions. (name) tapped Yukihira's shoulder before whispering to his ears, "your diner's Mapo Tofu, seems really friendly..... but a word of advise.... Kuga's Mapo Tofu is like an enchantment, it brings both pain and pleasure at the same time", she pulled away and smiled at him gently.

Yukihira grinned, "as always, (name)-chan is amazing", he patted (name)'s head gently.

"Eri-nee-chan will explain even further later", she gave him her eye-smile. He chuckled and nodded, "alrighty~ you should take a seat, it's almost done". When Yukihira finished his food, he served the food to four of the girls with a grin on his face.

Hisako nodded her head and looked at Erina who had a serious look on her face, before looking at a blank-faced (name) who was silently eating the Mapo Tofu.

"I see", Erina muttered before she started explaining about the Ma and La rules in Sichuan Cuisine, "(name)-chan usually hang out with Kuga everytime she started craving something spicy, and when she crave for smoked food, she'd go to Polar Star Dormitory and when she craved for rare ingredients, she'd either go to Shiomi Seminar or Rindo-senpai's place", she muttered to herself, not realizing that she said that out loud.

(name) couldn't help but giggle.

"please pretend you didn't hear that", Erina squeaked.

Yukihira laughed, "that's kinda impossible".

"it's Impossible, Erina", Alice stifled her laughter.

Hisako stated with a straight face, "Erina-sama, that's impossible".

She was stunned at her place and looked away.

(name) smiled, "you can continue with your explanation anyway, Eri-nee-chan". Erina pursed her lips and looked at her sister with a small blush, "if you say so...", she then started to explain about Ma-Wei and La-Wei, which is the Ma-La-Wei component.

Later that day, (name) finally met up with Takumi and Isami.

"(name)-chan, we heard you are going to help Yukihira-kun's booth?", Isami smiled at the shorter girl. She nodded her head while eating the pudding the Aldini twins made for her, "well yes, but on the first day, I won't be of help to Soma.... Cu'z Rindo-senpai invited me to try out all the foods".

Takumi heaved out a sigh, "w-well.... If you have time, you can visit our booth", he said carefully as he look up at her only to feel his heart jump as (name) was smiling sweetly at him, "of course I'll visit your booth, Takumi, Isami".

"th-then I'll reserve two of the best dish we'll make, just for you", he piped up with a blush on his cheeks. "thank you in advance, Takumi", she giggled.
