Zia sped up. There weren't many cars around as they made their way to Seoul. Jungkook had reached Seoul maybe a week ago. She was hoping he was alive, and a monster hadn't attacked him.

She looked in the rear-view mirror before changing lanes. A lot has happened in the past few weeks, and maybe life wasn't going back to normal. She had to get used to her new normal. The same way Night had.

She looked over at Night who had rolled down the window and was watching the trees pass as she chewed her gum. Her luxuriant white hair tied up is a ponytail, resting on her shoulders.

Zia set her eyes back on the road. They still had around 200 km left before they entered Seoul. She had never been to the capital city.

There was a comfortable silence set in the car. Zia also rolled down her window, the gentle breeze dancing on her skin, making her smile.

Seeing an empty road ahead of them, she sped up. Slowly changing lanes, she let out a deep breath. She hadn't driven a great distance since two years, and with their track record something was bound to go wrong.

"Do you think Jungkook is alive?" Night asked.

Zia didn't know what to answer. The thought had crossed her mind a few times. Jungkook had to be alive, they needed him in the team. Even if one Phenomenal wasn't a part, their odds of defeat were far greater than their chances of winning.

She didn't know what fight they were fighting. Her best guess was monsters. Psyche hadn't told her anything about it. Night might have some information, but they wouldn't know about it till she had activated her powers. Night wasn't ready to use her powers. Leaving it to be her choice, Zia had left the subject alone.

"Maybe."

"We need him in the team." said Night. "Zia?"

"We need everyone in the team." She replied.

"What are you thinking about?"

"A way to activate the voice of the gem without you having to use your powers."

Night raised her eyebrows. "You think that is possible?"

"Honestly, I don't know what to think. Maybe it's a possibility maybe it isn't." Zia finished, not taking her eyes off the road. Silence fell again, and Night turned on the radio.

Zia tapped the steering wheel to the beats. Night had closed her eyes, kicking off her shoes and pulling her legs to her chest.

"If you want," said Zia, glancing sideways at her. "There is a blanket behind."

Night shook her head but did not reply as she rolled up her window when the air started getting cold, Zia following her suit. She had also turned on the heater, maintaining a warm atmosphere in the car. Night fell asleep, pouting.

She laughed, looking at the younger girl, as she switched off the radio. Her eyes turned back to the road. There was still a long distance to cover.

Hours later Night stepped out of the car. They had reached Seoul.

"What do you want to do first? Find Jungkook or a place to stay and eat?" Zia asked her as she stepped out of the car, tucking her messy blonde hair behind her ear.

"Let's find Jungkook first. That is more urgent." She replied, determined to find Jungkook before the monsters do.

"Back in the car then." said Zia, turning back.

"We're going to find him by car? Jungkook would be in the streets of Seoul. It would be hard to find him by car." she said.

They were standing in a street of Seoul. People were minding their own business, and no one gave them a second look.

Zia walked up to her. "If we are going to find him by foot, then we first have to find a place to park this car. It's not mine."

"Where did you jack it from?" Night frowned. She had thought the car belonged to Zia.

"I didn't jack it." Zia rolled her eyes, "I rented it."

"It would have been much fun if you had stolen it." Night joked. She turned back and walked back in the car.

"Why are you going back?" Zia called out.

"We have to park this thing. Rather, we park it in a designated parking space than on the roadside."

"Stop changing your mind every second." Zia said, annoyed.

"I'm saying let's go find a place to spend the night, park the car before we set out to find Jungkook." Night said, making up her mind.

Half an hour later they found a place to stay. The two of them were sharing a room. It comprised 1 bed and a small bathroom.

"Looks like we have to share a bed." Said Zia.

"I would rather take the floor." Night sighed. The wallpaper was ripping away from the walls.

"Don't be stupid."

"Fine, but don't cuddle me. I don't like it."

"Fine." Zia laughed and pinched her cheeks. Night jumped back, horrified.

"Why would you do that?"

"Cause you're being adorable."

"I don't like physical contact." She poured.

"I can see that."

The room wasn't fancy, but it would suffice for a few nights. Looking at the state of the room, Night had a sudden urge to find Jungkook as quickly as possible.

"It has to do. Let's go." said Zia, looking at Night, who nodded grimly.

"Do you think he has gone back to Busan?" Night asked, walking down the street.

"Why are you even thinking something like that?"

"I don't know. It can happen. We don't know how long Jungkook has been staying in Seoul."

"If that happens," Zia sighed. "It would suck."

"Where should we go?" Night asked after a while.

"The Han River is very famous. We can go there to find him. But let's eat first. I'm starving!"

"You ate before we left!" Night protested.

"We have been walking for hours." She countered.

"It's been 20 minutes." Night corrected.

"I'm still hungry."

"Fine, let's eat. What do you want to have?" Night sighed, knowing there was no use of arguing with her.

"Tteokbokki." replied Zia with a smug smile. "I think I saw a restaurant somewhere around here."

Night examined the street, it was littered with restaurants. There were pizza parlours, cafes, traditional restaurants and fast-food joints. "Take your pick." Her eyes indicated the shops surrounding them.

Zia turned, noticing the abundance of restaurants. Her face lit up, her green eyes reflecting happiness.

"If you look this happy for food, wait till we find all the Phenomenal you will a sobbing mess." Night commented on her expression. Zia stuck her tongue out at the former. "Wow, you really act like a 5-year-old and you are almost 4 times the age."

"You can ease down the sarcasm." Said Zia as they walked around picking a restaurant to eat.

"Sure." Night muttered before running to catch up with the older girl.
