CHAPTER 17-CHLOE'S POV
So it was lunch. I was excited for lunch because I really wanted to talk with my mermaid princesses friends.
"Hey Chloe," said Ethan.
I turned around.
"Oh hey Ethan," I said.
"Who's that?" asked Astella.
"Ethan," I whispered to her.
"So what's up?" asked Ethan.
"Well I just made two new friends!" I said, gesturing towards Astella and Amaka.
Ethan looked at them.
"So can I talk to you privately?" asked Ethan.
"Sure," I said.
"Chloe, meet us inside the cafeteria," said Lucia and then they walked off.
"So Chloe about that date, do you still want to go?" asked Ethan.
"Of course I do!" I said.
"Well I'll pick you up at 7, is that ok with you?" asked Ethan.
"Umm today?" I asked.
"Yeah."
"Ok, sure no problem," I said.
"So can I have you phone number or something?"
"What's a phone?" I asked.
Ethan looked confused and then he laughed.
"Oh crap, you're so hilarious," he said.
Ok....then.
"Umm well I don't have a phone," I said.
"Oh."
"But here, I'll give you my address, it's the blue beach house," I said.
"You live in one of those expensive houses?" asked Ethan.
"Yeah," I said.
"If you're so rich, why don't you have a phone?"
"Oh, I just don't want one," I said.
"Ok, but anyways pick you up at 7," said Ethan and then he walked away.
I breathed a sigh of relief. I was so nervous around him. I walked into the cafeteria and saw the rest of our squad already sitting there, one seat was left. I started walking towards the seat when a random girl went and sat on it.
"Hey, excuse me, that's my seat," I said.
"No, I want to sit here," the girl said.
"Get off, of my seat," I said.
"No, I want to be in a group with good-looking girls too."
"Hey, girl, get off of that seat," said Lucia.
"Yeah, go and annoy someone else," said Sirena.
By now, the cafeteria had gone quite.
"No!" screeched the girl.
"What is your damn problem?" said Astella. I can tell Astella was getting annoyed.
Hell, I was getting annoyed.
"Please please please let me sit here," the girl sobbed.
What the heck is wrong with this girl.
"No, go," said Amaka.
The cafeteria was still watching. I looked up and saw Ethan was also watching what I would do next.
"We can deal with this later when there is not a big audience, but for now you need to leave," I said.
"No, I want to deal with this now, why do you girls only sit with yourselves, huh? What is so special about you guys?" the girl asked.
"More than you can ever imagine," said Melissa.
"Just go," I said, my tone was clearly frustrated.
"Just because you girls are all so attractive, it doesn't make you perfect," the girl said and then she finally got up and walked away.
I sat down.
"Ugh, finally she's gone," Astella said.
"I know right," I agreed.
By now, the cafeteria has gone back to its wild and loud self.
"So how did it go with Ethan?" asked Sirena, with a wink.
"He asked me to go out with him!" I exclaimed.
"I don't want to burst your bubble but remember, you won't stay in the human world forever," said Astella.
"I know, but I want to make the best out of it," I said.
"So when is he picking you up?" asked Lucia.
"Today at 7," I said.
"Good afternoon staffs and students, today the list for the singing show has been posted outside of the music room. If you auditioned, please check it out to see if you are on the list," said the person on the announcement.
"Want to go check it out?" I asked.
"Yes!" said Sirena.
"Let's go," Melissa said.
Right before we walked out of the cafeteria, I saw Ethan wink at me and then he went back to his lunch. We walked to the music room and we saw the list.
