Nunew's POV

I look at Noah as he look at me and Zee.

"Noah .." I said.

"Me and Nunew are engaged." Said Zee making me look at Zee surprised. Zee looked at Noah coldly before grabbing my wrist , revealing the ring on my finger. Zee then lifted his hand , revealing his ring. Noah looked at us and at the ring. I look at Noah as Zee slowly looked at me.

"Is it true ?" Asked Noah as I gulped my saliva nervously. I look at Zee and sigh.

"Y-Yes .." I stuttered.

"You kept this a secret from me ?" Asked Noah.

"It's not that I mean to hide it from you .." I said as he chuckled in disbelief.

"Since when ?" He asked making me frown.

"Since when were you engaged with this guy ?" He asked.

"A month ago." Answered Zee as I look at Zee.

"My fiancé here. Is a little afraid of telling people that we are engaged , right Nhu ?" Asked Zee as I glare at him. Noah chuckled in disbelief , getting up.

"Noah .." I said as he shook his head , storming away.

"Noah ! Wait !" I said , getting up. Before I could chase Noah , Zee grabbed my wrist making me turn.

"Let him be." Said Zee making me push his hand away.

"Noah is my childhood friend. How can you be a jerk ?" I asked pissed off before running after Noah.

"Noah ! Wait ! Noah !" I called as I ran after him.

"Noah , stop !" I shouted grabbing his arm. He sigh , shaking my hand off.

"What else ?" He asked.

"Listen .. I can explain .." I said.

"Explain what ? That you didn't mean to hide your engagement from me ?! What happened to telling each other everything ?!" He asked.

"It's not what it seems like ! Trust me !" I fought back making him chuckle in disbelief.

"Really ? Trust you ?! Trust you after finding out that you are engaged ?! After finding out that you moved in with him ?!" He asked making my eyes widened.

"H-How did you-."

"I went to your house and your neighbor told me you moved in someone , he was the one who you moved in with , am I right ?!" He asked making me sigh.

"What else is there that you are hiding from me Nhu ?!" He shouted.

"Me and Zee are not engaged !" I burst out , shutting him up.

"This ring is fake ! Me and Zee are in a deal .." I said.

"We made a deal .. and I am his fiancé only for a month ..." I said.

"I didn't want to tell anyone because it's something between me and Zee only .." I said and sigh.

"We are a couple .. base on a contract .." I said.

"Please .. believe me .." I said softly as Noah sigh , pulling me to his embrace. I froze in his arm.

"I am sorry .." he whispered.

Zee's POV

I froze in my spot , watching Nunew hug Noah. For some reason , my heart hurt hearing those words. I clutch my fist , looking away. What Nunew said was true. We are a couple based on a contract. Nothing more. I then walked away towards the car , leaving the both of them.

"Poppy. Drive home." I ordered.

"Yes sir .." answered Poppy as I look out the window seeing Nunew.

Nunew's POV.

I walked into the house , closing the door.

"Zee ?" I called out as I look around.

"How could he leave me at the mall ?" I thought and soon walked into the living room to see Zee on his laptop.

"Zee .." I said as he ignored me , typing away on his laptop. I then slowly sat down on the sofa , leaving a gap in between us.

"Zee .. I-." All of a sudden , he closed his laptop and got up from the sofa. He walked up the stairs as I sat there , dumbfounded. Soon the sound of the door shut was heard making me frown. I got up , walking upstairs as I then knocked on the door before entering.

"Zee .." I said trying to talk but he didn't answer.

"Why did you walk away when I was trying to talk to you ?" I asked as he kept quiet.

"Zee , I am talking to you." I said as he sigh , closing his laptop.

"What do you want to talk about now ? I don't think we have anything to talk about." He said coldly. 

"About just now , I-."

"I don't care. We are not together remember. We are a fake couple anyways. You can do whatever you want. Be with whoever you want." He said cutting me off. My heart felt like there was a knife , stabbing it. He then got up , walking past me.

"Mom will be back soon. Let's just act like nothing happened." He said before walking out of the room , leaving me all alone. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I clutch my shaking hands. I close my eyes , breathing in and out as I run my shaky hands through my hair.

I ate my food quietly as Zee did the same. I steal a few glances at Zee.

"Are you both okay ? Did you both fight ?" Asked mom as we both look at her.

"It's nothing mom .. Nhu is just a little tired .. right baby ?" Asked Zee as I look at him. I nod , forcing a smile.

"Hm then why don't you both hurry and finish your food and go rest hm .." said mom as I nodded , looking at Zee.

After dinner , I walked up to the room , opening the door to see Zee already settled on the couch. He turned to his side as I walked in the room. I walked towards the bed , getting on it. Zee then turned the lights off before I could say anything. I sigh before laying down. I look at Zee as tears welled up in my eyes. I then close my eyes , hoping tomorrow will be a good day.

- next morning -

I frown , opening my eyes as I slowly sat up. I looked at the couch , not seeing Zee. I look around , realizing he was nowhere to be seen. I got out of bed , leaving the room as I walked downstairs. I look around the place and soon saw mom setting up the table.

"Oh , you are awake !" She said as I smile.

"Good morning mae .." I greeted as she smile. I then look around for Zee.

"Where's Zee ?" I asked.

"Oh , he told me he had to leave early for work .. he didn't want to wake you up .." she said as I slowly sat down. I sigh , knowing that , it was just an excuse. Zee didn't want to talk to me after what happened yesterday.

"Here you go .." she said as she placed a plate of pancakes in front of me. I smiled softly as she caress my head. I then slowly grabbed the knife when my eyes went to my ring.

"What have I done ? ..." I thought.
