Zee's POV

"You didn't attend the meeting." Said Father as I stood in front of him.

"Why ?" He asked.

"I had emergency." I answered.

"Really ? An emergency that is way more important than the meeting ?" He asked as I look at him.

"Don't tell me that the emergency had to do with your lover .." he said.

"It did." I said as he then sigh , getting up.

"This is unbelievable. This is not acceptable." He said , rubbing his temple.

"That meeting is important and you know that !" He said raising his voice.

"Do you know embarrassed I was in front of the board leaders when my very own son is not performing his duty as a CEO ?" He asked.

"And I get to find out that you run out just because your boy needed you !" He said and I sigh.

"He is not a just a boy father ! He is my fiancé ! He needs me too !" I fought back.

"And what ?! Leaving your company to crumble down just because of your fiancé ?!" He asked.

"Father , you trained me to be the best man and that's what I did. My fiancé needed me. As his fiancé , it's my duty to be there for him whenever he needs me." I said as he looked at me coldly.

"Yes , I did train you to be a man. But you have embarrassed me enough. Where can I hide my face now ?" He asked as I look at him.

"This is not the first time you disappoint me , Zee. I hope this will be the first and last time." He said coldly.

"Dismissed." He said as I look at him , sighing before walking out of the room.

Nunew's POV

"Got everything ?" Asked P'Sun as I packed everything. Soon the door open revealing grandma.

"Granny ?" I asked as she smiled widely , opening her arms. I smile , jogging towards her as I hugged her tightly making her chuckle.

"Oh my grandson~" she said , rubbing my back.

"Mom .. what are you doing here ?" Asked P'Sun.

"Well I am here to bring my daughter home and take care of her .." she said as I chuckled. She then walked over to P'Sun giving her a kiss on her head.

"Are you sure you can take care of P'Sun alone ? Nhu can always take care of her na .." I said.

"Oh please Nhu ... I am still young~" said Granny making me chuckle.

"Yeah Nhu .. I will be okay .. your granny has taken care of me for years .. aside from me moving out .." said P'Sun as Granny rolled her eyes making me giggle.

"Fine .. but if you need anything .. just please give me a call .." I said as Granny held my hand.

"Don't you worry my child .." she said and I smile.

Zee's POV

I walked into the house , loosening my tie after a long day. I walked towards the living room to see Nunew watching a movie while munching on his snacks. He turned seeing me , pausing the movie.

"Aow , you're home .. how's work ?" He asked with his puppy eyes that makes him even more cute.

"Want some ?" He asked , offering his snack as I shook my head. He chuckled before playing the movie , going back to munching on his snack. I then sat beside him , looking at him. I then slowly remove the pillow on his lap making him frown in confusion. I slowly laid my head on his lap , sighing as I gently rubbed my head on his lap. I close my eyes , wanting nothing but comfort from him.

Nunew's POV.

I froze in my spot as Zee made himself comfortable , laying his head on my lap. I look down seeing that he had his eyes closed. I then felt the urge to caress his head but I didn't want to make him uncomfortable. I bite my lips nervously before following my guts. I gently caress Zee's head , playing with his soft hair. Zee hum making me stop whatever I was doing.

"Sorry .." I said softly. He then looked up to me , grabbing my hand before placing it back on his head.

"Continue doing what you did .." he said as I then smile , nodding. I did what he said , I run my fingers through his hair gently , giving it a subtle touch earning a relax sigh from him. I soon realized that I have never seen this side of Zee. Zee always had that cold look and would always look tough , but now .. he was just soft. After a while , I heard soft snores making me look down to see Zee sleeping peacefully on my lap. I chuckled softly , looking at him.

"He must be tired from work today ..." I thought as I gently caressed his cheek.

"He's gotten skinnier too .." I whispered as I traced his eyebrows.

"Why do you like to make me feel this way ?" I said.

"Why do I like you so much that my heart would burst every time you look at me ?" I said as I looked at him , smiling softly.

- next day -

I walked downstairs , expecting to see no one as usual. I soon hear noise coming from the kitchen , assuming it was the maid. I walked into the kitchen to see Zee in a apron.

"Zee ?" I said making him turn.

"Morning .." he said making me raise an eyebrow.

"Aow , aren't you supposed to be at work ?" I asked.

"I took a day off .." he said , going back to cooking.

"A day off huh ? Any reason ?" I asked , sitting down on the counter.

"No reason .. thought maybe we could hang out today .." he said making me chuckle. I then peeked at what he was cooking.

"What are you cooking ?" I asked curious.

"Kimchi fried rice .." he said.

"It's almost done , wanna taste test ?" He asked and I nod eagerly. He scooped a little of the rice onto the spoon , blowing on it before bringing it up to my mouth. I look at him making him nod as I then opened my mouth. He feed me as I then hum in surprise.

"So how is it ?" He asked.

"Hm ..." I hum , chewing. I then swallowed the food as he look at me , eager for my answer.

"It's delicious but it's definitely missing something .." I said , getting off the counter as I then walked towards the fridge. I then took out a spicy sauce.

"Tada~" I said before walking towards him.

"Here , let me take over .." I said making him chuckle , moving away. I then poured a little of the spicy sauce , mixing with the rice.

Zee's POV.

I watch Nunew stir the rice as I smile fondly. Soon the doorbell rang making me and Nunew turn.

"I'll go get it .." I said and he nod. I walked out of the kitchen , taking my apron off. The door bell rang again as I wiped my hand on my apron , placing my apron aside.

"Coming !" I said before opening the door , seeing a woman.

"Yes , how can I help you ?" I asked , not knowing who she was.

"Hi ... I was wondering if Nunew lives here ?" She asked making me frown.

"Who are you ?" I asked.

"Zee , who's th-." I turn seeing Nunew as he then look at the woman.

"M-Mom .." he said , freezing in his place as my heart then stopped in surprise , turning back to the woman.

Uh oh , I smell troubleeeee~ let's hope nothing bad happens 🥶
