Chapter 42:

Scarlett's POV

The past three days passed by pretty quickly again.

It was Mom-weekend.

I decided not to tell anyone about what I saw the last time I was there.

We were so close to moving back in with my Mom, and I wasn't going to ruin that.

I ran out of my room and into the kitchen.

Maya: "Well someone is happy this morning", Maya smiled.

Me: "Like always. Where's Ali?"

Maya: "In her room with Carina. They're looking for something to wear."

Me: "Aah, fashion gurus, I see", I laughed.

Maya: "Exactly", she smiled.

Carina: "Okay, Ali picked this one all by herself and she desperately wanted to show you guys", Carina said coming into the kitchen.

Ali followed after her, wearing a flower dress and some white shoes, her hair half up half down.

Maya: "Wow, you look beautiful."

I couldn't help but smile.

I hadn't even noticed how much she grew since we came here.

Me: "Who are you and what did you do to my sister?"

Ali: "Tina, it's me", Ali laughed.

Me: "Are you sure, because my sister isn't so tall yet", I said walking over to tickle her.

I got kind of sad all of a sudden.

We'd spent so much time with Maya and Carina, and it was now all coming to an end.

Carina: "Well, you ready to leave? I'm sure your Mom is already waiting for you", Carina said with a smile.

Me: "Yeah", I sighed.

We got in the car and started heading to the park.

I looked out the window and couldn't help reminiscing all the fun times we had.

*Flashback 1*

Maya, Carina, Ali and I were all in the kitchen, baking some cookies for Ali's school's bake sale.

Me: "Ali", I whispered, catching her stealing another chocolate chip.

I gently nudged her in the side and she started laughing.

Maya: "What's so funny over there", Maya smiled.

"Nothing", Ali and I said in unison.

I turned towards Ali and whispered something in her ear.

Ali: "Hey Mama, come here", she said.

Carina: "What's wrong bambina", she asked walking over to Ali.

Ali: "I think you have something in your face."

Carina: "Where?"

Ali: "Right there", Ali said, smearing some flour on Carina's cheek.

Maya and I broke out into laughter and Carina's jaw dropped to the floor.

Carina: "You all think this is funny huh? I'll give you something to laugh about."

She smeared some flour on my nose and then threw a full fist full at Maya.

Maya: "Okay, no...now it's my turn", she laughed.
