Last week was my cat's first birthday and I felt like such a proud mother <3 It feels like just yesterday that I took her home for the first time when she was two months old and two pounds🥹
Peaches and I are truly inseparable. She does not even let me go to the bathroom without her (and if I don't let her in before I close the door, she will sit there, cry, try to jump up and turn the handle, and stick her leg under the door) and she must be present for every shower so she can stare intently at the water the whole time. I had to alter the way I slept to compensate for her— aka learning how to be comfortable with sleeping with the door cracked open so she can come in and out as she pleases. She sleeps in my bed with me every night.
Though she can be an absolute NUISANCE sometimes. I always have a spray bottle on-hand because she likes to jump on tables and counters and chew random plastic wrappers/packaging. And also she bites my ankles randomly. My appendages are never safe.
