I got sucked out of my dreamland when I heard a thud. I don't really remember sleeping though. I looked at Hyejin to see if she was awake and yea she was.
"What's that?" I whispered.
"What's what?" Hyejin whispered back. I rolled my eyes, sighing.
"Who made the noise?" I asked, and she shrugged.
"I don't know. Am I out there?" she said. I sighed again, before looking at the door. It was quiet for a while until I heard a bang and saw a dent on the old, rusty door.
First, I had a heart attack seeing that. But then I had a thought in my head.
I think Jungkook is there... is he?
"Uhh.." I began, trying to catch their attention. It went silent.
"Jungkook?" I said, waiting for an answer.
"Y/n? Oh my god, you're here", he said from the other side. "Is Hyejin there with you?"
I nodded, but I didn't get a response from him. Then I realised he couldn't see me. "I mean- yeah she is in here", I said.
"Okay. I'll get you out of there", Jungkook yelled.
Many minutes later (bc the author is lazy)
The door opened and Jungkook ran towards me. Along with some police officers who went to help Hyejin. He began removing the chains off me. He looked even worse than Hyejin described him. His face looked sickly pale and he looked way thinner than the last time I saw him.
"Jungkook-ah", I said, and he didn't respond.
"Yah", I said, a little louder.
Jungkook opened his mouth but didn't say anything. "Why didn't you take care of yourself?" I asked, frowning. He looked at me with puffy eyes which broke my heart into pieces. "I'm sorry", he mumbled, sniffling.
"It's okay", I muttered, while he helped removed the chains. Soon, a police officer walked towards me and asked, "Do you perhaps know where Lee Jiwon is?"
"I don't know. Maybe you can ask Hyejin. She is his daughter", I said and he nodded before walking towards Hyejin.
I turned to Jungkook and hugged him. "I'm sorry I wasn't able to be there. I shouldn't have gone out without you", I mumbled.
