Chapter 28

Rose's point of view:

"So are you guys on your way, or still in the air?" I asked Eddie though the phone. It had been 6 weeks and 3 days since Lissa and I had started planning the wedding. I and Dimitri were at the airport and I had decided to call Eddie to know where they both were at the moment. They had maid the jurny coming from palm springs about home hours ago and were just about to land.

"Yeah, Rose we are almost there. We will be arriving in about 10. I will call you when we get throw security and get our bags," Eddie said while hanging up. Dimitri and were waiting at the entrance of the airport leaning on one side of the wall as we just looked around.

"They said they would land in 10 minutes. That means that they will take 20 minutes," I said while putting away my phone. "We have time for a coffee. Want one?" Dimitri asked as pointed at a coffee shop only a few feet away from us. Coffee sounded dilutions but the smell of it was horrible. I didn't know why but I was over welled by many smells lately. For example, Dimitri's aftershave, but I didn't know why. "How about something else? What about tea?" I said wrapping my arms around his waist. He did the same and kiss the top of my head. "That sounds great." We started walking to a small restaurant and ordered a Tea for me and a coffee for Dimitri.

We went back to the entrance of the airport and I started drinking the Ice Tea. "So are you excited for the wedding?" Dimitri asked as I leaned on him this time. I didn't know how to answer that question. Don't get me wrong I loved the idea of Lissa and Christian finally getting married. But it was just hard to organize everything in such a short period. I mean we got all the preparations ready, but I wasn't ready to see another strigoi. I was still shaken up by the past accident and I had to now worry about taking care of the safety of more people. More Moroi to protect.

"Yeah, I am excited to dance with you," I said coming closer to Dimitri and kissing him. "Rose!!" I heard a scream and I pulled away from Dimitri. It was Jill that screamed from excitement. Jill pulled me into a hug and Eddie came behind her. "Hi, Jill. I missed you," I said realizing how much she had changed from last time we had seen each other. Jill pulled away and I saw her face. She was 18 already and she still looked like the little girl I remember her as. "Me too, Rose. I have to show you all the things I learned from Eddie. He thought me how to kick and trow new hits," Jill said excitedly. "Oh, that's wonderful. And what about you Eddie, has he been good to you. Has he done something bad to you?" I said crossing my arms. I turned toward Eddie and he looked inverses.

"Well last time he pulled a prank on me and I kicked him out, but he learned his lesson right babe," Jill said and Eddie stepped forward. "Of course" He kissed Jill and felt nauseous. But not by them but for some other reason, I felt like throwing up.

"Rose are you ok?" Dimitri said while coming closer to me. I didn't have a chance to answer because before I knew it I ran to the nearest trashcan and started throwing up. Jill came to my side and pulled up my hair. After throwing up the small breakfast I had earlier that morning I grabbed a napkin that Dimitri gave me.

"What was that?" Dimitri asked. He was confused there was no respect for me to be throwing up. I hadn't been eating too much or too little. I hadn't done anything uncial, however, somehow I was in this situation. But then I remember maybe it was someone else feeling sick. Just like when Lissa had morning sickness and I felt it. There were many people in the airport maybe that was it. It had to be.

"Oh it's just the effects of spirit," I said and Jill and Eddie understood. Lissa had tolls her little sister about my 'Gift'. They didn't ask any more questions and we left the airport.

(Back at the Mazur house )

"Jill," Lissa said coming from the living room once we enter the house. "Hi Lissa," Jill said. Jill hadn't yet gotten used to the idea of being the Queen's sister and was shy while talking to Lissa. "So are you excited, we are going to go shopping later today?" I asked Jill trying to make the tension go away. "Oh yes I heard there's a mall that is nocturnal," Jill said almost jumping up and down from excitement.
