"So how about we start over?" I ask.

"How?"

"Hi my names Qulsum." I say putting my hand out for him to shake.

He looks at my hand and then my face, figuring out wether I was being serious or not. I was.

"I can't believe I'm doing this but... Hi my names Yaseen."

"Cool name. I think we'll have fun being married." I say patting his back.

"I think so too."

"Just so we're clear I'll be the princess of this marriage and you'll be the husband." I say and he looks at me squinting his eyes.

"I don't think it works like that."

"Why not?"

"Well if you're a princess than I should be the prince don't you think."

"I don't think that's how it works."

"It doesn't make sense."

"Well you have to prove that you're prince material."

"I never proved being husband material either so..." he says smiling and I laugh.

"Well doesn't matter."

"Alright. You have a deal. I'll prove it to you by the end of the week."

"End of the week? No until tomorrow."

"At..."

He looks at his watch.

"9:30pm sharp."

"Deal." I say.

"Come on then let's get home." He says putting his hand out.

"I'm not gonna crush your hands I promise." He says and I smile and hold his hand.

And then the unexpected. He kissed my hand! Shook.

"Your cheeks are red. I just thought I should let you know."

"You didn't need to point it out. That's minus one." I say as we get into the car.

"My bad."

"It's ok you still have until tomorrow. I expect good things."

"Expect great things."

We got home and things were going to get really horrific. There was a car. I recognized the car. It was his fathers. I am going to die.

He was being nice. And it's all gonna be trashed.

"What happened?" He asks and I look at him wide eyed.

"I think someone's here." I say.

"Ya. It's our house we don't need permission to go inside come on" He says pulling my arm.

I'm dead.

"Salam alaykum." Yaseen says as we entered the living room. His jaw dropped and his hands  loosened.

"Walaykum Salam" his mom and dad both say.

"Mama..." He says looking at her.

"Yaseen. Sit down." She says.

"Get him out." He says sternly

"No we're going to talk about this." She says quietly.

"I said get him out. I don't want him here." Yaseen says angrily.

"Okay. Fine." She says standing up fed up.

"He's your father." I whisper. I was afraid but I felt that he should give him respect.
