"Harmony,"
A sweet voice
cuts through the h a z e.
"Harmony,
wake up!"
I frown and roll over,
pulling the covers
over my head. The sun's barely coming up
over the rooftops of our street,
but it's bright and orange anyway.
It's Suki,
and she's trying in vain
to shake me awake.
"If you don't get up now,
we're going to miss our plane."
I'm awake in an instant.
Duvets get thrown and I sit up so fast
I give myself whiplash.'Japan!' I sign frantically.
Suki huffs an exasperated laugh,
'Yes, Japan!
Now let's get going!'
