Chapter 25

"We look amazing!" Cathy squealed making a few poses in the mirror. I nodded in agreement touching my bouncy thick curls while Stephanie added more lipstick on her lips.

It was already seven o'clock and I expected the 'Alpha' to be the one to pick me up. Unfortunately he couldn't make it-reason unknown,so he sent a car to come pick us up. The dinner party was being held at the pack's main Grand Hall a few miles away from the pack house. Stephanie told me it would take exactly fifteen minutes to get there which made me realize just how huge this land was.

We waited for our transport to arrive and honestly we were all very excited."oh my gosh-"Stephanie said texting something on her iPhone x.

"What is it?"Cathy asked bored also texting something on her iPhone.

I looked at Stephanie curious to find out what she was so excited about.

She looked up from her phone,"You won't believe it but my friend Megan is already at the Hall and apparently almost all of the Alpha's are there-including the Alpha King!"

"No fucking ways!"Cathy exclaimed with wide eyes.

I rolled my eyes and sighed,this world keeps getting shitty and shitty everyday."There's an Alpha King" I said silently.

Stephanie scoffed "yeah of course there's an Alpha King. He makes sure all the pack's run well and that traditions and laws are never broken. Some people even call him the punisher because he is well known for the most torturous punishments known to men.That way no one has ever broken pack laws for over five years now."

"They say he is a demon because of his eyes-they are different. It is known they can see the truth hidden in anyone. He is a unique hybrid Lycan. Stories and myths say he is made up of ten different species...can you believe it."Catherine said standing up from my bed with a hand on her hips. She looked so dramatic I couldn't help but snicker at her sudden posture.

Stephanie remained seated on a stool next to the bed. I smiled at them, everything they said sounded like bullshit but then a lot of shit happened to be real in my life. "Okay so what's the big deal about the Lycan King being at the party?" I asked out of curiosity.

Stephanie sighed "No one has ever seen him-like ever. Only Alpha Jake has seen him and happens to see him most of the time, people say they are cousins or even brothers. That's why Alpha Jake is kind of different-his wolf is different even. This is like the first time the King is coming to a dinner party-it must be royally important...", before she could finish her statement Catherine received a text .

"The driver is here!"she exclaimed going out the bedroom. We both rolled our eyes and followed her.

After fifteen agonizing minutes of sitting in the car we finally arrived at the Grand Hall. The long driveway was beautiful with a lot street lights and a magnificent fountain. The driver finally parked at the Hall's entrance which was also wonderful with a long red carpet.

Surprisingly there was paparazzi's everywhere talking about the richest business men being at the dinner party. As we got out camera's flickered in every direction. Some mainly shouted Stephanie's name who apparently was the cousin to one of the richest bachelor's and business man in the world. However me and Cathy were just the 'newest faces in town'.

I was so nervous as we entered the Grand Hall after a tiring couple of minutes of smiling and posing for the cameras-it was nerve wrecking and required a strong soul.

The Hall was spectacular,with beautiful lights,tables and the theme decor was just splendid-the wonderful work of art. It looked like a typical party for the richest Royal class. The people here even looked like the Queen of England's cousin's,family and friends. I felt so out of place not because of my dressing-no, but because I knew I was different and that I wasn't part of all this classy stuff.

"Hey...I know how you feel but you don't have to worry-" Cathy whispered on my right.

I looked at her nervously "really?"

She smiled "yeah, really,just picture everyone naked or dressed like clowns"

Stephanie giggled on my left and I also couldn't help but giggle. Catherine was just something else.

"You are the craziest soul I know"I told her as we walked towards a table with nice chairs made of glass-literally. It was weird but nice-I mean what if I broke the chair somehow,it would be so embarrassing and a headline story for the press.

Eventually Stephanie left us after two of her friends came and invited her to the VIP section-how rude is that.Now it was down to me and Cathy who kept taking different kinds of wine from the waiters.

"This is a whacky party don't you think?. Everything is too fancy,classy and boring"Cathy complained and snickered,"I feel like I'm back at my great aunts funeral. Trust me it was just like this,Grand and fancy"

I laughed at her ,"I totally agree and to think we could have been enjoying ourselves at a club at least, that would have been way better" I said taking a sip of my white wine.

She sighed,"hey,look behind you slowly"

"Why?" I whisper yelled.

"Your man is with goldy locks hand in hand"she whisper yelled back.

I slowly turned my head and looked at the scene. Alpha Jake in all his glory,dressed in a black Armani suit,jet black hair jelled back and looking as Royal as ever with none other than Rebecca beside him.

"I'm really going to rip out that fake blond hair off her head,strand by strand"my wolf growled in my head and I surprisingly agreed.
