Chapter 10

Nate was sitting on a boat with his friends it's been a while since he's been out of the house all he has been doing is going to work and going straight home spending his free time by himself.

While his friends were sitting around him drinking beers and talking. While he was just sitting back scrolling through his phone.

"Why you so quiet?" one his friends asked as they sat next to him.

"Nothing," Nate replied as he was going through Jade's Instagram on another account since she blocked him the same day they came across each other at the beach.

As he was going through her recent pictures he noticed she's a lot thicker than he remembered.

Nate's eyes grew wide as he seen Jade standing next to not only his boss but also his half-brother she didn't know him because he was older and he lived with his mom in another state.

Jade was avoiding eye contact with him.
"Hey, he said casually

"Do you guys know each other?" Jacob asked.

"We went to school together," Jade said.

Even though a part of Nate wanted to say that they been together for longer than he could remember and just months ago they were living together and planning a wedding.

"Yea we went to school together," Nate said looking dead at Jade.

"Baby lets go back to the beach." she said to Jacob.

"Well I'll see you Monday," Jacob said to him as they walked off holding hands

Nate stood there as he watched them walked off feeling instant regret.

"Are you still upset about Jade?"

"No of course not she can do what she wants." he played it off

"What happened between you two anyway?" another guy asked.

Nate was quiet for a moment.

"Things just didn't work out between us." Nate said dryly.

He hasn't told anybody what really happened because he didn't want to get judged about what he did he loved Jade but he made a mistake.

"But you guys have been together since High School..."

"Did you guys just bring me out here to talk about that?" Nate asked getting irritated.

His friend shook his head.

"No man we brought you out here to get you out the house you been antisocial and shit."

"Well I don't want to talk about Jade." he told them.

"So what you guys want to do?" he asked.

"Well we are on a boat lets call up some people and throw a party." one his friends said.

Nate sat back in his chair.

His friends looked at him

"What wrong with you?" he asked.

"Nothing just not in the "Party mood." Nate explained to them.

His friend pulled out a small bag out of his pocket and tossed it to him.

"Not even for some party favors." his friend winked at him.

Nate looked at the bag in his hands it was filled with white powder.

"Man I haven't done this stuff since college." Nate told him.

He use to do stuff like this all the time until Jade made him stop.

"Come on man just have some fun." his friend said.

"I don't know...." Nate told him.

"Man just have some fun I'm sure your ex is having fun without you."

"Fuck you man," Nate said as he started opening the bag and pouring on the table.

"Yea that's what I'm talking abou."t his friend said.

Hours later the boat was filled with people and music.
Nate and his friends were sitting around smoking while three girls were dancing in front of them topless.

Crystal was walking on to the boat she was on the phone

"I'm here now I'll talk to you after." she said

"All right let me know when you get it."

"Yea I will," she told the person on the other end of the phone

As she was walking around the boat she pulled out her phone to send a quick text.

A guy walked up to her.

"Hey, are you CeCe?" he asked.

She nodded.

"Yes I am."

"Ok good we got him ready for you follow me." he instructed

She followed him down to the lower deck where they ended up at a big brown door.

"He's in there." he told her

"Ok what about my money."

He said nothing as he handed her three stacks of cash

She put the money in her purse and opened the door walking into the room closing the door behind her.

In front of her was a man standing with his back turned facing the window.

"Excuse me sir," Crystal said assuming the man was high.

He slowly turned around he had a look of shock on his face.

Crystal!

She looked back at him.

"Nate!"

"What are you doing here?" he asked surprised

"I'm just here to meet someone," she lied.

"This is not what I expecting..."

"What were you expecting someone prettier or something." Crystal said getting defensive.

Nate rolled his eyes.

"I wasn't expecting my ex's sister."

It was quiet for a moment.

"Can I ask you something?" Nate asked.

"What," Crystal replied.

"Does Jade say anything?" about me

Crystal shook her head.

"Nope."

He stands back and crosses his arms.

Before she knew it Nate pulled her in and start kissing her.

"What the Fuck!" She shouted as she pulled back.

"I'm sorry I don't know why I did that," Nate told her.

She looked at Nate taking in how good looking he is.

She kissed him back.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Nate asked her.

She nodded.

'Yea I'm sure."

Now she and Jade will be even.
