Nate was on his way to work, but before going in, he had to make a quick stop first at a coffee shop.

He knew Jade was there and he needed to get something off his chest.

Jade was sitting a table in the back drinking a cup of coffee when she looked up from her cup Nate was standing in front of her.

"What are you doing here shouldn't you be at work?" Jade questioned.

"Well hello to you too I am, but I needed to talk to you," Nate said as he sat down in a chair across from her.

"Ok, so what do you want to talk about Jade shrugged.

He sighed

"I want to talk about us."

Jade shook her head.

"I've told you multiple times we are not getting back together what part of that do you not understand. She said irritated.

She wishes he would move on.

"Look I know that I fucked up, and I was wrong, but I want a second chance just let me make things right."

"I'm mar... Jacob is my fiance we are together and very happy." Jade explained.

Nate looked at her.

"Do you really love Jacob... Cause sometimes I feel you're only with him to get back at me."

Jade glared at him.

"Are you serious?"

He crossed his arms.

"Yes, I am."

Jade grabbed her things and stood up.

"Of course I do that's why I choose him instead of you."

Nates face dropped.

Later in the day, Nate was at work pushing a trash can and collecting the trash.

Jacob walked out into the middle of the office.

"Ok everyone listen up," he announced.

Everyone turned, and all eyes were on him.

"So I have an announcement as you..."

People started whispering about what it could be.

"What do you think it is?" a guy to the right of Jacob asked another co worker.

"If you shut up I'll tell you the news."

The room fell silent, and the guy was embarrassed.

"Ok so as guys know this company will now be in California soon."

People were clapping.

"With that being said I'm going to have to lay off a lot of you."

The clapping stopped.

"So I will be calling people into to my office don't be surprised if it's you." Nate looked away as he seen Jacob looking at him.

"Nate your number come on into my office," Jacob called him out with a grin on his face.

Then Jacob walked into his office.

"Wow, I'm glad he's not banging my ex," he overheard a guy say to another as he made his way to Jacobs office.

Nate walked inside to see Jacob sitting at his desk.

Jacob looked at him

"Take a seat," he told him.

"I'm good standing," Nate told him already knowing what's going to happen.

"I was just making it easier for you so when you sign the papers."

Nate raised his brow.

"What papers?" he questioned.

"These," Jacob said laying out a small stack of paper on his desk.

Nate walked over to the desk and sat down picking up the paper and going through them.

He realized what they were.

"Why do you want me to sign paternity papers?' Nate asked.

Jacob sighed.

"I want legal custody of both the girls."

"I'm not giving up my daughter to you."

Jacob chuckled.

"Let's be real Nate I'm around her more, I take care of her, and I love her as my own."

Nate looked dead at him.

"I will fight for custody if I had to."

Jacob smirked.

"Why your gonna just waste time and money the courts won't grant you that."

"Look how about I make a deal with you if you sign the papers and give me rights to Lovely I will give you one hundred grand."

Nate thought about it.

"No deal," Nate told him.

Jacob couldn't buy him or Lovely.

He clasped his hands and looked at Nate.

"Ok, I tried to be nice either you sign these papers are your fired."

"You can't do that." Nate snapped.

"I did say I'm laying people off."

"Your only doing this to me because I tried to kiss Jade it was an accident."

"Oh I'm over that I honestly been wanting to fire you."

"I don't care I'm not giving up my rights." Nate scowled.

"Ok well, you're fired then get your stuff and leave," Jacob said nonchalantly and turned back to his computer as if Nate was no longer there.

Nate walked out of Jacobs office ignoring the snickering and stares from his co workers.

Going to the elevator and leaving the building.

Will Nate finally get it that Jade moved on?
