Together, Lois and Scott pushed through the back entrance to the school, both of them hurrying down the hallway and past the locker rooms. If they wanted to be there to help the others protect Lydia, then they would have to hurry their pace.
"McCall! Get over here—!"
Said boy skidded to a halt, Lois nearly crashing right into his back but he steadied her before she could. She glanced up at him and then to coach's office, then back to Scott with her eyes wide and blinking. They didn't exactly have the time to stop and chat with Finstock, even if it was important, which she doubted. School was about to end — what could he have possibly wanted?
"McCall!"
Scott groaned, gazing at the end of the hall longingly. He sighed and swivelled on his foot, jogging back towards the office slowly.
"Scott?" Lois hissed, waving her hands, "What about—?"
"You go, or you'll miss them!" He told her, walking backwards. Scott noticed the hesitance on her face; he knew that Lois didn't like to leave him behind — or anyone, for that matter. "I'll catch up as soon as I can, okay?"
Standing awkwardly in the empty hallway, stuck between two decisions, Lois chewed on her lower lip. She was unsure whether leaving him behind would be the best idea, especially since they needed him around in order to protect Lydia. While Allison had her crossbow and she knew that the girl was a good shot — very good, actually — if Derek Hale and his three teenage betas came after them all at once, a werewolf would have most definitely been their best mode of defence. And the only werewolf that the group of kids actually had on their side, was Scott McCall.
