Leo approached the hobbit hole after a long day's works, the sun was quickly setting. She whistled a joyful tune to herself. Many a turnip was conquered today. She was covered in dirt from head to toe and completely exhausted. Before she could grab the knob of the rounded door, it flew open to reveal Bilbo in his night robe with a towel in his hand - this was an everyday occurrence for Leo after work. Bilbo quickly looked around the house and down the road before turning his attention to Leo. Bilbo shoved the towel at her. She took it from him and wiped her feet, wrapping herself in the towel to prevent as much dirt as possible from falling onto the nearly pristine floors.

"I'm making dinner! Fish, potatoes, and rolls!" Bilbo called to her as she made her way to get cleaned up. He heard Leo scoff - she wasn't a fan of fish.

Leo was finally clean and changed. She put her wavy hair into a loose braid that laid on her beige sleep tunic-dress. It had loose long sleeves and came to her knees - it was very comfortable, but probably not guest appropriate. Hobbits prided themselves on always appearing put together and well dressed; which often caused many hobbits to side-eye Leo as she was often covered in dirt.

She made her way to the table by the fireplace and tiredly plopped herself into a chair as Bilbo placed her plate in front of her. "Thank you." she smiled at him, he simply nodded and made his way to his chair with his plate. Leo had already dug into her potatoes aggressively, causing Bilbo to simply stare at her and slightly shake his head.

"What was Gandalf wanting?" she spoke with a mouth full of food.

Bilbo huffed and looked up at her, both disturbed by her lack of manners and frustrated because he wished to begin his meal in peace. "Nothing. He wanted nothing." He knew that would not satisfy Leo's curiosity as he found her staring at him as if to say 'go on.' He signed. "He said he was looking for someone to share in an adventure. He suggested, or should I say demanded, that you and I join him."

Leo almost choked as she gasped. She had to drink water to prevent such. "An adventure?! And you said no!?"

"Of course I said no! Do either of us look like warriors? No, we do not. And think of the danger! I don't know what kind of adventure he was referring to but anything outside of the Shire means danger." He held up his finer matter-o-factly.

Leo stared at him in disbelief. Bilbo shrugged and went in for his first bite of food when....THUMP THUMP. There was a harsh knocking at the door. He huffed and looked at Leo. "Can you get that, please?"

"No."

He glared and stood up. Bilbo threw open the door to see a very large and burly dwarf. He had a large beard and hair that only began at his ears. The top of his head was covered in faded tattoos. He was quite intimidating.

"Dwalin." the dwarf bowed. "At your service."

"Hm." Bilbo tried to stand up straight and look presentable. "Bilbo...Baggins...at yours." The dwarf pushed himself in and looked around the small foyer. "Do we know each other?"
