I found myself a clear pool of water. I immediately got in, letting the cool water soak over me. After a while, I had scrubbed myself and was clean. I forgot how hair felt . . . Well, I also haven't been in human form for a while. I heard footsteps nearing me. "Who is there?" I asked whoever was approaching. "I brought you some clothes to change into, they'll work better than those other ones!" THE LADY WHO GAVE ME STEW said.

"Thanks so much!" I said as I got out of the water. She was politely covering her eyes as I grabbed the clothes from her hands. I threw them on, and my wet hair was dripping water onto the clothes. "You done?" She asked, eyes still closed. "Yes, thanks." I said as I looked towards her. "Your hair is really lovely, your mother must've enjoyed braiding it." She said as we started walking back towards the village.

"My mom was dead before I got to meet her." I said calmly. "Oh, I'm so sorry." She said. "Not your fault, us Night- Nightstar clan were going extinct." I said, sounding sort of funny. I caught myself before I said Nightfury, and I was so happy I did. "Never heard of that clan." She said as she looked away from me.

"We're a pretty subtle clan, you wouldn't know about us. Plus if you did, it wasn't for long. Our clan ended up dying out, except for me, luckily. It's been exactly nineteen years since that happened. I was just a baby, and my mom tried to get me away and to safety." I said as I continued walking towards the village.

"I'm so sorry for you, I wish I could've been there to help." She replied. "I doubt one person would help, if anything it would happen to be another dead body." I said, being honest. "Guess that's true." She said as we approached the village. "By the way, I have a spare bedroom you can stay in until your hut is built. Also, I don't think I have introduced myself, I am Halla since I hadn't told you." She announced as we walked up to her hut.

"I couldn't help but notice the Gronkle you had in one of your spare rooms." I said blurting it out. "OH, that explains why he seemed so happy today, he loves visitors. His name is Thorn, my brother got him for me as a birthday present." She said as she opened the door to the room Thorn is located in.

He made a happy and surprised sound when he saw us. He immediately greeted Halla and gave me a Groncle smile. "Hi Thorn, I think we got off on the wrong foot." I said as I scratched him under the neck. He is very ticklish and when I did that, he collapsed onto the ground after doing dragon version of laughs.

"Do you ride Thorn like other Vikings ride their dragons?" I asked her. "No, I am just too used to our old habits. So instead, he is like my dog, he eats the scraps and is here for enjoyment." She said as she walked upstairs. I followed after her, assuming she wanted me to come. "This is the guest bedroom, also its only Thorn and me who live here, my husband is currently out." She said as she showed me a lovely room.

"Thanks for the room, and the food . . . And the clothes." I said as I walked into the room. "Don't mention it, anyway, its getting late. It's almost sun down, you better get some shut eye." She said as she exited the room. I walked over to the bed and laid down, almost immediately fell asleep.
