Whats Going On?

I pumped my wings hard, carrying another dragon is not as easy as it seems. Toothless must weigh at least forty to fifty pounds more than myself. We had flown for hours, and I thought the flight here was bad. Flying back without a break is so straining, I kept feeling like I was going to pass out at any second. My tail drooped down along with my eye lids.

"ECLIPSE DON'T YOU DARE!" I heard Stormfly yell at me. Immediately I fixed my position, but it didn't last long.

"She needs a break Hiccup, she isn't doing well." Astrid told Hiccup.

"Yeah I noticed, but there is no island in sight." He replied.

Astrid turned and looked around, "We could go to-" Astrid started but Hiccup cut her off. "We aren't going there, that place will only get us killed."

"But Hiccup-" Astrid argued.

Hiccup just looked at her with a face that meant 'no'. "Eclipse, how much longer can you fly." Stormfly asked me. "Not long, I can't feel anything." I said. I was flying with my eyes shut, but they hadn't noticed.

Astrid's POV

"Hiccup, I am going to let them have a break, its not fair! You weren't the one that had been flying for- who knows how long!" I said getting mad at Hiccup. Hiccup had no reply, he only looked down. "Eclipse, come over here, fly by Stormfly, we are almost there." I told her.

*Thirteen minutes later*

"I thought we passed it, nope! Come on Eclipse, dive down . . . OH NO!" I said. Eclipse finally lost herself into the dream world and was falling to the ground. "STORMFLY DIVE!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.

Wait a second . . . Where's Toothless? Stormfly was diving for Eclipse. Right as we were about to grab her, Toothless flew by us and had her in his grip. He landed cautiously and was in a defensive position towards us. "Least we finally landed." I said.

"What are we going to do with him, I don't even know what he is doing!" Hiccup said.

"Maybe you have just been a little tough on him, give him a little bit of time. After a while, it's sure to be better." I told him. I laid down beside Stormfly followed by Hiccup. Toothless laid defensively, his wings were covering Eclipse. He growled when I looked over at him.

*Morning*

Hiccups POV

Finally morning time, I thought it would never come. I got up and lazily rubbed my eyes. I looked over at a sleeping Astrid, and then I looked over at Eclipse, sound asleep. Unlike Toothless, who was looking at me and growling.

"Don't worry bud, I am not planning on walking over." I said and chuckled. He growled at me and laid down in front of Eclipse, so we couldn't get to her. Well, he only laid like that for a short moment, five minutes later Eclipse woke up and turned towards us.

Soon everyone was awake and it was just an awkward stare between Toothless to us.

Eclipse POV

Once I woke up I couldn't see anyone else, because Toothless decided to lay in front of me . . . Wait? I don't remember landing. I stood up, unlike everyone else and walked to where I could see everyone.

"We should get going." Astrid said. I agreed with them, but there was a problem. Toothless can't fly and I don't want to carry him.

"Hiccup, just give Toothless the tail fin, you know what it did to Eclipse last time." She said.

"That was only because she was tired from the constant flying." Hiccup responded.

"Either way, give Toothless the tail fin." Astrid said.

"How am I supposed to get it on him if he keeps running off when I get near him?" Hiccup asked.

"You always figure it out . . ." Astrid said, getting bored of the conversation.

Hiccup walked over with the tail fin, looking at Toothless with a scared expression. This is going to be fun. I stood up and nudged Toothless to stand. He got up and stretched. I kept him distracted by playing with him. I teased him, but not enough for him to chase after me. I needed him to stay around there so Hiccup could get the fin on.

Then I felt like I had to sneeze, but I thought dragons didn't- "Achooo!" I went, blowing a plasma bolt at the ground. At that moment Toothless noticed Hiccup on his tail, and once Hiccup had it in place Toothless raised his wings.

"Not again." Hiccup mumbled grabbing hard on the tail. Toothless flew into the sky and Hiccup was struggling to stay on. Astrid hopped onto Stormfly and flew after them. I flew up behind them, but quickly passed Stormfly. I flew until I was right next to Toothless.

"Toothless, drop the viking." I said knowing Stormfly could catch Hiccup.

Toothless flicked Hiccup off of him, "Astrid help!" Hiccup yelled. Astrid and Stormfly dove down while I stayed near Toothless.

"Toothless, whats going on? Why are you acting so strangely?" I asked.

"Eclipse, have him go with you're, obviously your the only one that can get close." Hiccup yelled from below.

I nodded my head and turned towards Toothless, "Toothless, you can trust me, you'll be safe with me." I told him as I started flying towards Berk. He followed right after me, not doubting me whatsoever.

Hiccup and Astrid were chatting behind me. Once I decided to look behind me to see what they were chatting about, I saw them about to kiss. I yanked my head back forwards, I didn't want to see that.

Before they did anything Stormfly decided to dive, so they get their attention off of one another. When I looked to see what was going on, Stormfly was twirling in circles.

"OH GODS! STORMFLY, STOP THIS!" Astrid yelled at her laughing dragon.

"Not funny Stormfly." Hiccup muttered.

"If it makes a difference, I think it is funny!" I said.

That was about the only fun during the flight, because soon after we reached Berk. Least this half of the ride I didn't have to carry another dragon that weighs so much more than me. Toothless and I didn't speak much, but he was devoted to follow along with whatever I decided to do.
