Yujin and Eunyu almost arrived at the ground floor when they heard the commotion coming from downstairs. Yujin could hear the faint whispers and gasps of people, along with the voice of a man screaming, "It's a bite. He's been bitten!" After that, a loud thump was heard, as if something slumped onto the ground harshly, and another man yelled out, "I got him! I got him!

Eunyu and Yujin shot each other a quizzical look, feeling confused as ever as to what was going on below them. "Let's go see what's up," Yujin suggested as the two girls quickened their pace down the stairs.

With their swift steps, they soon arrived at the stairway door on the ground floor. The man who was walking in front of them just moments ago was now lying unconscious on the floor, not moving at all. Next to his limp body was a short middle-aged man, an unfriendly scowl on his face and a taser on his hands. Eyeing the situation in front of her, Yujin's eyebrows became knitted. Did he just tase him?

From the corner of her eye, Yujin noticed a young man in gray t-shirt walking towards her, The boy leaned forward and draped his dark blue flannel over Eunyu's shoulder, who was standing right beside Yujin. Ah.. so he's the brother...

He had a soft smile on his face as he looked at his sister, but it was soon wiped off when Eunyu rolled her eyes at him and harshly pulled the flannel off her shoulders, then proceeded to walk off towards the toilet. The air became silent and slightly awkward as Yujin and Eunhyuk just stood there, not saying anything.

"Is Eunyu okay?" he broke the silence by asking her. Yujin quickly nodded. "Yeah... I mean, I think so. Yeah... but Eunyu's ankle is injured," She managed to answer him but her constant stuttering made Yujin felt embarrassed and somewhat flustered. Damn it, why am I always so awkward.

A slight smile crept onto Eunhyuk's face. "That's good, I guess. I was so worried about her," he sighed. Seeing his smile, Yujin couldn't help but smile too, but she quickly recollected herself and wiped the smile off her face. Now is not the time for that, you idiot.

"I'm Lee Eunhyuk by the way... Eunyu's older brother," he told her. "Yeah, I know," she responded. "Umm... My name's Yujin. Park Yujin," she continued. Eunhyuk nodded slowly after hearing her words. "How about you?" he asked, causing Yujin to feel confused. "What do you mean?" she asked with a puzzled look on her face.

"I mean... like, are you okay?" Eunhyuk asked again, raising his hands and reaching for the nape of his neck as he rubbed it slightly, obviously feeling flustered after asking Yujin such a question. Yujin's eyes went wide, she was certainly not expecting him to ask her that.

After hearing his question, Yujin's heart suddenly felt warm. It was such a simple question, yet Yujin couldn't help but smile. Nobody has ever asked her that, not since her parents died. She was always alone, and the fear of being left behind by others caused the young girl to distant herself from everyone around her. Even when she entered college, she found it difficult to make new friends and she only had 1-2 friends up until now.

When her parents passed away, leaving her alone in this world, Yujin was certain that nobody would care about her or love her ever again. Heck, she didn't even know if she was capable of being loved or cared about anymore. But Eunhyuk's sudden question warmed her heart. Indeed it was just a simple question, but it also made the 18-year-old wonder, does anyone really care about me?

Yujin quickly shook away her thoughts, forcing herself to stop overthinking and over-analyzing the question. Surely he asked just because he was being nice, nothing more. Get it together, Yujin.

"Oh, yup! Peachy!" she forced a smile, brushing it off. Eunhyuk could tell that she didn't want to speak about the matter anymore, so he just quietly nodded.

The air between them fell silent again, making Yujin slightly uncomfortable. She didn't know what exactly to say. She had always been awkward around others and meeting new people often makes her anxious.

"Umm... I'm gonna see if Eunyu's okay real quick," Yujin gave him a slight smile as she made her way to the bathroom, leaving Eunhyuk standing there by himself. The boy stood there, staring into the girl in the distance until she disappeared into the narrow corridor.
