••• five years later •••

The bright rays of the sun peeked through the blinds, waking Loki up. He attempted to roll over and face away from it, but the weight of his wife's body draped across him made it difficult to do so.

He groaned in annoyance, a sound that was returned with a similar groan from Summer. Her eyes scrunched shut as she tightened her grip on him. "Five more minutes," she mumbled, breath warm against his skin.

"It's 6:30" he responded, sleepily.

"Perfect," she murmured, her lips against his collarbone as she swung a loose leg around the back of his knees. "Ten more minutes, then."

"Darling," he scolded, lightly. "It's time to get up."

"We have plenty of time," One eye opened to glare at him. "We can just share the shower and then-"

He affectionately rolled his eyes as he lazily played with the ends of her hair. "No, that made us late last time."

"Well, that was your fault." She argued, tiredly.

He raised a brow. "It's not my fault how ravishing my wife looks." He could almost feel the heat radiate off her face against his neck. Six years of marriage and he still managed to make his wife blush.

She peeked up and saw the sleepy cheeky look creep onto his face. She knew he was proud of himself, the cheeky bastard. Things had been really good for the pair over the past few years. Despite the potion and being on a different planet, their relationship would possibly be deemed as "good" or "normal," even.

Their kingdom had grown with people and creatures of all species and planets. Majority were indebted to Loki one way or another. He ruled with a firm fist, but a gentle heart when it came to his queen. Queen Summer really had no royal duties really other than to be spoiled by her king and to look pretty.

With a defeated sigh, she loosened her hold on him and dramatically rolled onto her side. "You sure we can't stay in bed a few more minutes?" She muttered as her fingertips traced patterns on his bare chest.

He kissed the top of her head before climbing out of the bed. "No, we can't." He chuckled and made his way towards the bathroom, announcing, "I get the bathroom first."

She hummed in acknowledgement as he shuffled into the bathroom, taking a quick shower. It wasn't long until he reappeared and opened the bathroom door, only to reveal his lazy wife hasn't budged. Well, she flopped onto her stomach, but that's it.

"Summer Laufeyson." He drew out her name softly, finding that she was sleeping again. He shook his head in amusement and shuffled over to the bed to climb on top of her. "Love, you need to get up."

Her chest drew up sharply as she sighed, her eyes again scrunched as her body shifted with a yawn. Dropping onto his elbows, he came nose to nose with her, and he kissed her pout between words, "Get. Up."

She narrowed her eyes at him, doing her best to ignore the butterflies in her stomach. Now she had to fight dirty.

Unexpectedly, her hands drifted up and around his shoulders. It settled there and gently pulled him closer, making him inhale sharply. He wrapped his hand around her hand, intending to pull her off, but instead he left it there. Under her spell, he cupped her face in his hands and pulled her into a fiery and passionate kiss.
