Two updates in the same day!? 🫢 Make sure you read the last chapter before proceeding! Hope y'all enjoy! Please let me know what you think!!

A month went by, and things had gone along rather smoothly. Loki, Summer, and Siv really just used this time to find out where their little family stands. Today was an important day, even if Loki didn't realize it. Summer wasn't sure if he celebrated this holiday, but it was Father's Day today.

Summer had told Siv before she left for school a couple days before, that today would a special day to celebrate dads, but to keep it a secret until today.

It was around dinner time and Loki and Siv were cuddled up on the couch, with Summer on the couch opposite from them. Siv was happily munching on her chicken nuggets that Peter had picked up from McDonalds for her, her pretty blue eyes glued to the tv screen.

With the baby always pushing on her bladder, Summer had gotten up to head to the bathroom. When she returned, the tv was turned down and Siv was sitting on Loki's lap, facing him. With her little hands on either side of his face, she told him, "I love you, daddy."

"I love you too, darling." He chuckled and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

She grinned and her head flopped to one side as she patted her small hands against his cheeks, studying him. "You're so cute."

"Well thank you." He chuckled, an 'oomph' sound coming from his mouth when she hurled herself against his chest, and wrapped her small arms around his neck.

"You're the cutest daddy in the whole wide world, your food isn't that good, but your smile is so pretty, and you have the best hugs because your arms are so big, and you love mommy." She declared, hesitantly leaning back to peek up at him, testing to see how he felt about what she said.

When she saw his cute expression of shock, she clenched her jaw, making a funny face. "Grr, I love you, daddy. So much." She announced again, and wrapped her arms around him once more. "Do you still love mommy?" She mumbled into his neck.

He released a deep sigh, his hot breath tickling her neck, making her giggle and sit back to peer back up at him. She noticed the conflict in his eyes, making her heart clench.

"Do you want to love mommy?"

His eyes widened, not wanting to make her feel bad. "Of course I do! We just... I care for your mother very much."

"Do you love me?" She asked and placed her tiny hands on either side of his face again.

"I do love you." He confirmed and placed his large hands over hers.

She squinted her eyes at him, her lips pursed in thought. "Mmmm.... okay." She wasn't sure why her daddy could love her, but not be sure about loving her mom. Nonetheless, she let it go for now.

With that, Summer came out of hiding and appeared back into the room, doing her best to hide her smile.
"Siv, can you come here a second?"

Even though she was very comfortable on her father's lap, she obeyed and trotted over to her mom. Summer leaned down and whispered, "do you want to give him your card now?"

Her eyes widened in excitement. She dashed to her room to retrieve the card she made in school that she kept hidden in her toy box. She didn't let anyone see it, and Summer respected that, letting her have her special moment with her dad.

"Daddy!" She cheered and ran back over to give him a hug. It took him by surprise, but caught her in his arms, holding her close. She trusted he'd always catch her.

"Happy daddy's day!" She giggled and put the card in his hands. "I made this for you!"

He furrowed his brows and looked to Summer for clarification. "On earth, we have a holiday once a year to celebrate the dads in our lives. So, our daughter made something for you." She explained with a big smile.
