Two Different Problems

Riley's P.o.V

I knocked on Sonny's door and waited for him to answer, he told me come in and I came in the room and shut the door.

"Hey Son, can we talk?"

"Yeah what's up?" He asked looking at me

"Alright, so you know Mr.Caldwell right?" I asked

"Yeah, why?" He said raising an eyebrow

"I smashed his daughter like a few weeks ago and since I don't talk to her anymore or any of that shit, hes been fucking with my grade in class. I know its kind of my fault but I cant help but stress over that, I need my credits for his stupid ass class and he playing games."

"I can handle it if you need me to?" Sonny said

"Please? I'll pay you back anyway you need." I said looking at him

He got off his bed and came over to me, he rubbed my shoulders and slapped my back.

"You know there's no need for that kiddo. I got you and you got me, all you gotta do remember that." He said

"I know man, still appreciate it." I said standing up and hugging him.

"Now if you don't mind leaving, I have homework to do." He said pushing me out of the room

"Yeah right." I said laughing and leaving his room

As I left out the room, I seen my Dad coming upstairs, he looked at me and I moved past him and went in Mikeys room and shut the door.

"Sup kid." He said looking over his shoulder

"Nothing, bout to go wash my car. You?" I said leaning against the door.

"Just typing this college essay,you start yours?" He asked

I shook my head and folded my arms over my chest.

"Dads home." I said blankly

"How long?" He asked not turning around

"Just to get clothes I'm guessing."

"You seen him leaving or what?" He asked

"He was headed to Austins room."

"Hope he doesn't plan on starting an argument." Mike stated

I shrugged it off and walked over and looked over his shoulder at the computer screen.

"After the next couple sentences it should be good to submit." I said reading it

"Thanks kid." He said typing

"Anytime."

We heard yelling and something hit the door, I ran over to the door and opened it, as I did I seen Sonny pick our Dad up and slam him, Mike and I pulled him off our dad and I seen his lip and eye was bleeding. He tried to fight us off and Mikey put him in a headlock, our Dad got up and walked down the stairs not saying anything.

"What the fuck happened!?!" Mike yelled

Sonny didn't say anything because he was still trying to calm down, I went in Austins room and he looked up at me.

"What happened between Dad and Sonny?" I asked

"Dad came in here talking about some random bullshit and tried to hit me but I dodged it and then I called Sonny, that's when Dad pulled me back in the room. Sonny then came in here and they started fighting, Dad hit Sonny at least 3 times and that's when Sonny slammed him against Mikes door and then picked him up and slammed him." Austin said coming out the room

We walked back to Mike and Sonny and I looked at Sonny.

"Need to get that checked out Soon."

"I'm fine." Sonny said breaking out of the headlock

"No you're not dude." Austin said sternly

"Just clean it up at least Sonny." Mikey said going after him down the stairs

Sonny turned around and wiped his lip as he looked at us.

"I said I'm fine guys, don't sweat it. Austin, you good man?" Sonny asked

"Yeah I'm good, but you need to get that stitched up." Austin responded

"It's fine, nothing to serious." Sonny said wiping his face on his shirt

We all came downstairs and Mikey checked outside to see if Dad was still out there, he shut the door and turned back to me.

"Go get a wet towel." He instructed

I ran upstairs and wet a towel and brought it back down to him, he wiped Sonny's eye causing him to wince in pain, Mike cleaned it and Sonny grabbed the towel and held it against his eye as he walked upstairs.

"Moms home, I heard the car, ima go shower. No one say anything." He said sternly

We all nodded and Mom came inside as soon as Sonny disappeared into his room. We helped with groceries and Mike helped Mom prepare dinner.

"Where's your brother?" She asked

"He's in the shower, he said he'll be down soon." I replied

"That boy stays in the shower." She laughed

"He's a dirty little teenager." Mike joked

"All of you are." Mom countered

We all laughed and set the table for dinner, we sat down for dinner and Mom sent me upstairs to get Sonny. I went up to his room and knocked on the door.

"Yeah." He said

"Mom said come eat."

"Alright here I come." He said coming out the room pulling on a White t shirt.

We walked downstairs and he sat with his scar facing away from Mom. He kept his head low and didn't really say much while we ate

"Somny, what's the matter baby?" Mom asked

"Nothing, just tired." He said clenching his jaw

"You sure?"

"Yes ma'am." He said picking at his peas

Mikey cleared his throat and changed the subject

"Sent my college essay today, Riley helped me with it." He said

"Ohhh that's good honey." She said cheerfully

He nodded and gave a small smile. After we finished eating, Sonny took the plates and started washing them.

"You didn't have to wash them baby, I could've." Mom said walking over to the sink.

"Its fine Ma, I got it." He said not looking at her

"Go get some rest, I can finish." She offered

"No, its fine it's not much." He said rinising the dishes

She dried the plates and put them in the cabinet beside him and looked at him.

"Well, I appre... What happened to your eye?" She asked grabbing his chin and making him look at her

"Nothing." He said locking his jaw

"Don't lie to me,what happened." She asked more sternly

"He was fighting Da..." Austin started but Sonny shot him a cold stare making him be quiet

"Sonny, tell me what happened." She said

"Nothing Mom, I'm going to bed." He said kissing her temple and going upstairs.

She directed her attention to the rest of us and we put our heads down and didn't look at her.

"Aha goodnight Mom." Michael said awkwardly

We all quickly hurried upstairs to ours rooms before she could ask us anymore about the subject, all of us unsure of what to say at that point, today was deadass the craziest any of us have had in a while.
