Nova's POV

All I saw was darkness. It wasn't the kind that you would enjoy, no. This darkness made my skin crawl, my heart beat so wildly you would think I'm having a heart attack. My skin was clammy with the nervous sweat covering me. I squeezed my eyes so tight I never wanted to open them.

But everything comes to a end.

"Nova?" His voice.

That voice. The voice I used to dream about, smile when hearing it and moan as it darkened seductively. Now it makes my skin boil in rage, my heart loath it and my thoughts were a vary of emotions. Hate. Anger. Lust. Hurt. I didn't know how to control them, how I should feel towards him.

I opened my eyes from their tight volt like grip to the light blinding me. There he is. Standing in-front of me as if anything he just did wasn't an issue. I look down to see the man laying in his own blood, a hole in the middle of his skull, his eyes lifeless. I look back at Grayson who looks at me with the same cold exterior I'm sick of seeing. "Did you mean that?" I need to know.

I need to know if what he really said was true. I'm done being the one on the end of his cold glares and his jealous flares. I'm done. He tucks his gun back into his trousers and sighs. "Does it matter?" I stare at him, now it's my turn to give him the cold stare.

"Of course not." With that I walk off.

Of course It didn't matter what his words meant because I meant nothing to him and no matter how much I tried, Grayson became something to me. What the something was i haven't thought that far.

I close my eyes, forcing myself not to cry. I won't let my tears fall because of him, I can't let him beat me like that. As I walk on I see the big doors that lead to the ballroom. Not even stopping, I clock my gun and shoot the two men stands guard outside the doors. "Nova, slow down." I glance at Eva as she stands behind me.

I kick my foot on the doors making them flash open revealing the mass gather of people held against their will by more armed men. Their guns raise in sync as they aim at me. I smirk, placing a hand on my hip and wave my gun in the air. "Hello boys, ready to play?" They share looks between themselves as guests sit their confused.

"Who are you!" A man steps forward, holding his gun close to him. He's about 6,2 with a beard covering his face, dark auburn hair pushed back.

"God, obviously." I mumble, rolling my eyes at them. He clocks his gun showing he doesn't find my sarcasm humorous.

"Are you alone?" He asks, waking closer to me by the second.

I'm about to answer but get cut off as footsteps sound behind me in sync. "You bet your ass she isn't." I look beside me to see Eva standing with a brave smile. She gives me a sly wink showing her support.

"All of you on your knees, now!" He screams. Before anyone can do anything a window above shatters and I watch, as if everything is in slow motion, a bullet flying through the air heading straight towards the armed man. The bullet goes in his head, going straight through him and into the man behind him; killing them both. They both collapse to the floor like dominoes.

Screams from the guests blast through the big hall, some shuffling and making a run for the exit. The men try to hold them back but inevitably fail. Soon the chaos calms down and we are left at a stand still.

"You'll be the only one on your knees, bitch." Ethans voice sounds through the ear peace, his voice filled with annoyance.

"Holy shit." Kelly whispers.

"Ethan, get your ass down here now." Grayson's angered voice commands.

"Yes, boss." I can see the smug grin lighting Ethans  face right now.
