Chapter 3: Preparations

The classes finished 1 hour before the actual timings as there was much preparations left to do for the talent contest.
Riddhima was busy decorating the college, Sejal was preparing the list of participants for each sport while Vansh and Kabir with a few other boys were practicing basketball 🏀.

After playing for a while the boys were taking a break when Vansh spoke,"Kabir main tere saath singing mein participate kar toh raha hun par list mein naam Dena baaki hai"[Kabir I am participating with for singing but we still give the names]

"Haan yaar Vansh uske baare mein tog main bhool hi gaya tha chal abhi jaake de aate hai"[Oh yeah Vansh, I had forgotten about that come let's go and give it now]

"Okay"  said Vansh.

They were going when they heard Sejal call out to them: "Kabir Vansh ruko!"[Kabir Vansh wait]

Kabir: kya hua miss SS any problem{sports secretary}.
[What happened miss SS any problem]

Sejal: yeh list lo aur apne naam ki spellings check karlo.
[Take this list and check the spelling of your names]

They took the list and started checking it after checking:
Vansh & Kabir: Haan sahi hai
[Yeah it's correct]

Kabir: waise spelling sahi hai ya nahi iska sport khelne se kya connection?
[What is the connection between right spelling and playing a sport?]

Sejal: arrey agar tum jeet Gaye toh certificate pe sahi naam likhna padega na, kabir ki Jajah agar kabutar🕊 likh diya toh chalega kya?
[Arrey if you win we have to write the correct name on the certificate right? Would you not mind if we write kabutar{pigeon🕊} instead of Kabir]

Vansh and Sejal laughed while Kabir rolled his eyes.

Vansh: acha yeh sab chodo tumhari BFF miss CS kaha hai?
[Where is miss CS ,your bff]

Sejal: woh assembly hall mein hai waha decorations karwa rahi hai aur khud bhi kar rahi hai.
[She is in the assembly hall. She is making people do the decorations and also doing it herself.]

Vansh:okay, chal Kabir naam likhwa lete hai. Baad mein milte hai Sejal.
[Let's go kabir we'll give our names. See you later Sejal]

Sejal: okay bye.

They two started moving to the assembly hall.

In the assembly hall Riddhima was standing on a stool and sticking the posters with full concentration while Vansh and Kabir came from behind and literally shouted: "hello Riddhima"

She would have landed on the floor if it was not for the wall on which she was sticking posters supported her.

"Kya hai yaar mujhe sunai deta hai chillaye kyu?"[what is it dude I am not deaf I can hear] she said irritated while getting down from the stool.

Vansh: Haan par tum itna concentration ke saath kaam rahi rahi thi toh Hume laga ki tumhe sunai nahi dega.
[Yeah but you were so fully concentrated that we thought you wouldn't hear us]

Riddhima: Whatever🙄 ab batao kya kaam hai?
[Whatever now tell me what work do you have]

Kabir: Hume apna naam singing ke list mein likhwana tha
[ we wanted to include our names in the singing list]

Riddhima: Tum dono aur singing karoge ?!
[You two will sing?!
She asked surprised

Vansh: Haan kyun nahi koi problem hai kya.
[Yes why not any problem]

Riddhima: nahi problem toh nahi hai I was just a little surprised kyunki pehle kabhi suna nahi na tum done ko gaate hue par ab mein tum dono ke performance ke liye excited hun.
[No there is no problem I was just a little surprised because I have never heard you two singing before but now I am really excited for your performance.]

Riddhima: anyways chalo list class room mein hai.
[Anyways come the list is in the class room]
Turning around and calling one of the girls "Veena will you please stick these posters."

They went to the class room and wrote the names. The college ends with all the students busy with one or the other work.
Finally all of them disperse to their houses.
