Chapter 10: Meeting an old friend

Riddhima and Sejal were conversing about random things when Riddhima got a call from Parth (her brother).

Riddhima: hello

Parth: dii aap kaha ho?
[Sister where are you]

Riddhima: Sejal ke ghar. Kyun?
[In Sejal's house. Why?]

Parth: very good. Sejal dii ke ghar ke paas Dinesh general store hai aap janti Hon?
[Very good. There is Dinesh general store near Sejal's house. You know right?]

Riddhima: woh Sejal le ghar ke paas nahi hai.
[It is not near Sejal's house.]

Parth: almost paas hai.
[It's almost near]

Riddhima: really😒. Kya chahiye waha se?
[Really😒. What do you want from there?]

Parth: Nahi nahi waha se kuch nahi chahiye. Uss store ke peeche wale raste pe ek flower shop hai waha genda phool chahiye tha. Aur usske aas paas kuch shops hai waha se bhi kuch cheeze laani hai shaadi ke liye. Main list bhejta hun.
[No no, I don't want anything from there. There is a road back of that shop where there is a flower shop, so we need marigold flower from there. Also there are some shope near that and I want you to get some things for the marriage. I'll send you the list.]

Riddhima: yeh cheeze tu kyun nahi laa sakta hai?
[Why can't you bring these things?]

Parth: arrey please laa do na dii.
[Please bring it no sister]

Riddhima: acha acha theek hai, bhej list.
[OK ok fine, send the list]

Parth: thank youuuu!

They ended the call.

Riddhima: chal Sejal Main tujhse baad Main milti hun. Mujhe kuch khareedne Jaana hai.
[OK Sejal I'll meet you later. I have to shop for some things.]

Sejal: ruk Main bhi chalti hun tere saath. Kam se Kam Main bore toh nahi hungi akele.
[Wait even I'll come with you. Atleast I'll not get bored alone.]

Riddhima: theek hai chal. Hum Teri gaadi se jaayenge.
[OK let's go. We will go from your car.]

Sejal showed a thumbs 👍and they drove off.

Riddhima: Seju yaha se right le, hum uss khaali road se jaate hai Main road Main bohot traffic milegi.
[Seju take right from here, we will go from that empty road there will be a lot of traffic on the main road.]

Sejal: okay.

They were going on the empty road when a speeding Royal Enfield bike came from front and hit their car. It was not a major accident and neither did anyone get hurt.
It was not just one person's fault as both of them were driving on a little high speed ad it was an empty and unpopular road.

Sejal: oh shit!

Riddhima: Hume toh chot nahi aayi but uss biker ka kya?
[We did not get hurt but what about that biker?]

Sejal: let's see

They got out from the car and went near that man.

Riddhima: excuse me mister, you okay?

The man turned around and removed his helmet.

Both Sejal and Riddhima were shocked to see him.

He was Kabir!

Sejal: Kabir?

Kabir: ohh hey Riddhima, hi sejal.

He came forward and shared a friendly hug with both of them.

Riddhima: Tum Bangalore Kab aaye.
[When did you come to Bangalore]

Kabir: Aaj subah hi aaya hun Varun ki shaadi attend karne.
[I came today only, to attend Varun's wedding.]

Riddhima: aur Vansh?
[And Vansh?]

Kabir: woh bhaisahab toh Chennai mein hai because of business reasons. Yaar kuch zyada hi workaholic ho gaya hai woh. Waise woh bhi mere saath aane wala tha but fir meeting Main busy ho Gaye. Ab aayega ya nahi pata nahi.
[That man is in Chennai because of business reasons. He has become too workaholic. Even he was going to come with me today but got busy in a business meeting. I don't know if he'll come or not]

Riddhima:Hmm
She was very sad for some reason she did not know. She really wanted to meet Vansh.

Kabir: Sejal tum itni shaant kabse ho gayi. College Main hum chaaro mein tum sabse zyada bolting thi and now you are not speaking.
[Sejal from when did you become so quiet. In college among the four of us you were the one who spoke a lot and now you are not speaking]

Sejal: woh Main bas aise hi. Aur koi shaant nahi hui hun Main.
[Nothing just like that. And I have not become quiet]

Riddhima: well that's true.

They had a small laugh and started talking about random things.

After a while:

Riddhima: ohh damn Main bhuk gayi thi Hume shopping Jaana hai. You guys enjoy Main jaati hun.
[Ohh damn I forgot we need to go shopping. You guys enjoy I am going.]

Sejal: hum saath Main jaane wale the.
[We were going together.]

Kabir: Tum dono jaao hum jald milte hai. Mein waise bhi ab aata jaata rahunga Bangalore.
[You both go we will meet soon and anyways I will be coming to Bangalore often.]

Riddhima: you sure.

Kabir: yeah yeah of course.

SeRi: okay then see you soon bye.

Kabir: bye girls.

Kabir left from there.

Sejal turned around to Riddhima and send: Riddhu mera Kabir ke liye woh crush wale feeling wapis jag raha hai.
[Riddhu my "crush feelings" for Kabir are coming to life again.]

Riddhima: kyaa!
[Whatt!]

Sejal: Haan yaar

Riddhima: OK yeh hum baad Main dekhenge abhi chal.
[OK let's solve this later now let's go.]

They drove off to the shop and brought things.
