Chapter 9

5 years had passed.

Vansh and Kabir had become successful  businessmen. Both of them had their own empires, VR and KR empires but together they also used to run the RS empire.

Riddhima had become a successful and famous jewelry designer and Sejal had become a successful fashion designer.

KaVa(kabir and vansh) were of course in contact with eachother and same with SeRi(sejal and riddhima).

In Sejal's house:

Riddhima: Sejal tu shadi mein aa rahi hai and that's it.
[Sejal you are coming to the marriage and thats it.]

Sejal: Riddhu Main nahi aa rahi yaar.
[Riddhu I am not coming dude]

Riddhima: Tu jaanti hai na Main aise family functions mein Kitna pakti hun and I need company.
[You know right how much I get bored of family functions and I need company]

Sejal: Main bhi pakti hun aur waise bhi tune hi kaha tha "dost hai iska Matlab ye nahi ki Main tere liye pakungi." Now it's my turn.
[Even I get bored and you only had told once "We are friends but that does not mean I will get bored for you". Now it's my turn]

Riddhima: Yaar please.
She made puppy eyes saying this.

Sejal: Urgh. Why do you have to make these eyes. Fine I'll come.

Riddhima got excited and hugged her.

Sejal: Bas bas zyada excited mat ho. Waise tere cousin ke shaadi ke agle din hi Varun ki shaadi hai. Tu jaayegi kya?
[Enough enough don't get too excited. BTW the next day after your cousins wedding is Varun's marriage. Are you attending]

{Varun was KaVa and SeRi's common friend from college.}

Riddhima: Pata nahi yaar dekhti hun. Agar nahi jaaungi toh call karke congratulate kar dungi. Waise Sach batau toh mera kahi jaane ka Mann nahi hai kahin jaane ka. I just wanna sleep.
[I don't know, I'll see. If I don't go I'll just call him up and congratulate. To be honest I don't want to go anywhere I just want to sleep.]

Sejal: Kitna sona hai yaar tujhe. Anyways do you think usne Kabir aur Vansh ko bulaya hoga?
[How much do you want to sleep man. Anyways do you think he would have invited Kabir and Vansh?]

Riddhima: Of course bulaya hoga. Woh hum chaaro ke close tha but yeh nahi pata ki woh dono aayenge ya nahi.
[Of course he would have invited. He was close to all the four of us but I am not sure if they would come.]

Sejal: Hmm.

Riddhima: Acha Main tujhe kuch batana bhul gayi.
[I forgot to tell you something]

Sejal: Is it about a guy.

Riddhima: No its not. Ek pandit ji ke baare Main hai.
[No its not. It's about a priest.]

Sejal: It better be interesting.

FLASHBACK:

It was Riddhima's cousins house. Everyone were busy in preparation for the engagement.
A priest was called to talk about the dates etc.

Riddhima was standing there with everyone else and talking to her younger brother.
She was not hearing what the others were talking but knew they were talking something about future partners of all the children there who were above 21 and she was definitely not interested in that.

But suddenly out of the blue Jeetu aunty whom she did not like one bit suggested that the priest should see who would be her future husband.

Riddhima's pov:
Abbey yaar iss aunty ko achanak se daure padte hai kya ki ye aise paglon wali baate karti hai. Mera future husband kon hai yeh pandit ji kaise batayenge. I mean what the hell.
[Does this aunty get some fits that she speaks nonsense. How would this preist know who will be my future husband. I mean what the hell.]

Riddhima: par aunty...
[But aunty...]

Aunty: Na na mana mat kar beta. Chalna bohut ache pandit ji hai.
[No no don't say no child. Come, he is a very good priest.]

Riddhima's pov:
Maine Kab mana Kiya hai. Honge ache pandit ji par mujhe nahi dekhna kon hai mera husband. Aur mujhe samajh nahi aata inko itni excitement kyun hai jab mujhe khud ko nahi hai.
[When did I disagree. He might be a good priest but I don't want to see who is my husband. And I don't understand why is she so excited when I am not.]

Pratham(Riddhima's dad): jaa beta ab itna bol rahe hai toh.
Whispering in her ears: " jaa warna yeh tujhe Shanti se jeene nahi degi."
[Go child they are saying so much.
Whispering in her ears: "go otherwise she'll not leave you in peace"]

Riddhima pov:
I really hate this aunty but Dad is right.

She went near the priest and showed her hand.

Pandit ji: beta kya tumhara koi dost hai jo tumhare bohot Kareeb hai ladkon Main?
[Child do you have a friend who is very close to you in boys]

Riddhima after thinking for a while: nahi pandit ji aisa koi nahi hai.
[No there is no one like that]

Riddhima's mind voice:
Mujhe koi yaad nahi aa raha aur agar aata bhi toh main yaha toh bilkul nahi batane waali.
[I am not remembering anyone but even if I would I would not have said it here.]

Pandit ji: acha beta abhi tumhari zindagi Main koi nahi hai par jab bhi aayega uske Maa ki height choti hogi aur papa ghar ke sabse bade honge. Uska koi chota bhai ya behen hogi aur usko meetha bohot pasand hoga. Tum usse pehle se jaanti hogi.
[OK child now you don't have anyone in your life but whenever there is his mother's height will be short and father will be the eldest in the house. He would have a younger brother or sister and he will love sweets. You will know him from before.]

After saying all this he goes from there and when everyone were busy Riddhima went to her dad, mom and brother.

Riddhima: mumma ab yeh zyada nahi ho gaya. Unko itna sab kaha se Pata chala?
[Mumma wasn't this a bit too much. How does he know so much]

Anisha(Riddhima's mom): Pata nahi beta par yeh Sach bhi ho sakta hai.
[I don't know child but it can also be true]

Riddhima, Pratham and Parth(her brother): seriously!!

Anisha: Haan kyun nahi. Jo hona hai ho jaayega. Sab likha hota hai agar tumhare liye yahi likha hai toh yahi hoga aur agar nahi toh kuch aur ho jaayega.
[Yeah why not. Whatever should happen will happen. Everything is written, now if this is what is written for you then it will happen and if not something else will happen]

Riddhima: theek hai jab hoga tab dekh lenge.
[OK we'll see when it happens]

FLASHBACK ENDS

Sejal: yaar yeh toh Sach mein thoda extra tha but as aunty said agar yahi likha hai toh ho jaayega.
[This was actually a bit extra but as aunty said if this is what is written it will happen.]

Riddhima: waise tune mujhe bataya tha ki tujhe kisi pandit ne kaha tha ki tu bhaag ke shaadi karegi lekin abhi tak toh tu bhaagi nahi.
[BTW you told me that some priest had told you that you will run away and marry but till now you did not run away.]

Sejal: pehle koi mile toh sahi phir dekhenge bhagna hai ya nahi.
[Let me get someone first then we will see if we have to run or not.]
