"You're a Snape?" She asked, avoiding your eyes.

"So what if I am?" You questioned back, making her stutter.

"Why.. didn't you tell us? Aren't we your friends?" She asked.

"Privacy reasons."

"I guess Harry was right.." She mumbled.

"Mione!" Harry barked.

"What was that?"

"Nothing!"

You gave the three of them a questioned look but shook it off.

"Wanna walk to class together?"

"Erm.. thanks, but no thanks. We still have to go somewhere." With that, the three of them turned and left.

"Okay then..? See you guys later-" but your voice grew weaker when you noticed they had already left.

-----

On your way there, you saw the twins from afar and decided to go say hi.

"Fred, George!" You exclaimed, catching their attention.

"(L/n). Or should I call you Snape?"

"Are.. you okay?" You asked.

"You tell us."

"I'm sorry for not telling you guys.. my dad made me keep it a secret from everyone."

"So the rumors are true." Fred asked.

"Yeah, but what's wrong with it?"

"You're a Snape (Y/n). Your father is a Slytherin." George said.

"So? I'm a Gryffindor."

"It's.. not the same."

You started to tear up, trying hard to hold it in.

"I'm sorry for being born the way I was. I'll never speak to you two again." You said, storming off with tears in your eyes.

"(Y/n), wait!"

-----

"(Y/n).."

"Hm?" You asked, voice cracking.

The person behind you walked forward.

"Look at me (Y/n)." He said.

You continued to face him with your back and quickly wiped your tears.

"Princess. Please. I'm sorry."

"It's fine, it's fine." You said, turning around and giving a weak smile.

"Hey.. what's wrong? You look like you've been crying."

"Pft- me? Crying? I would never."

"Princess." Draco whispered, pulling you close.

"Dray.."

"Shhh.. I'm here. And I'm sorry for everything."

You hugged him tightly as he placed a kiss on your forehead.

"Come on, we have potions."

-----

You walked into the potions classroom, followed by Draco.

Gryffindors started staring at you and muttering, whilst the Slytherins hissed.

You gulped and turned to face Draco.

'I'm here.' He mouthed.

Gathering up courage, you started heading towards your seat, finally sitting down.

Snape entered, and everyone glanced at you.

"I'm sure you're all aware of the rumors. I'd like you all to know it is true." Snape said.

The mutters continued.

"This will not affect (Y/n) and her studies. She will be punished for doing wrong and praised for doing good. This won't change anything and she won't be getting any advantages."

You looked around, hearing mutters again.

Draco placed his hand on yours and started stroking the back of it.

You looked over at him, and he smiled.

"Now, we shall start the lesson."

-----

After class, everything didn't seem the way things once were, and you didn't bother.

You, alongside Draco, paced around the halls, feeling the slightest comfort with him around.

"Hey, things are bound to change, but that's just how life is." Draco whispered, holding your hand.

"Mhm. Thanks." You replied.

Finally, Draco wasn't afraid of being himself around others. He finally wasn't afraid for you to be known as "Malfoy's girl."

-----

Draco walked you to the hall for lunch, squeezing your hands tightly.

Entering the hall and he took you to your table.

Everyone stared, but you didn't mind.

You glimpsed at Draco's face, smiling to yourself.

A year ago, the person who walked you into the hall for lunch was Cedric, and now you had Draco.

You sat down at your normal seat and said goodbye to Draco, as he left a kiss on your face.

Harry and the others followed and sat down.

Draco glared at them and left silently.

"(Y/n).. is it true?" Hermione asked.

You started eating from your plate and completely ignored them.

"I told you Mione, like father like daughter." Harry pitched.

"And what's that supposed to mean, Potter?"

"Last name basis hm? It's almost like you don't know us." He said.

"Oh I don't know. It's not like you guys decided not to be my friends because you found out I was a Snape?"

"And you're dating Malfoy." Ron muttered.

"You think that's bad? Oh, you guys aren't ready for what's coming." You laughed, half speaking to yourself, half to them.

"Whatever." Harry said.

Fred and George remained quiet the whole time and didn't utter a word.

-----

"(Y/n).." Someone called out from behind as you left the hall.

You sighed and stopped in your tracks.

"Yes, Fred?" You asked, turning around.

Fred was standing behind you, George following behind.

"Heh. You know us even better than our own mother." George joked.

"Oh please, you two aren't that hard to tell apart. I could hear it in your voices." You forced a smile.

The twins chuckled a bit and fell silent again.

"We're sorry."

"Don't be. I get where this is coming from. Honestly, even I was surprised I got into Gryffindor."

"We just wanted you to know.. we're leaving after the mid holidays."

"What..? Seriously?!" You gasped.

"We're planning on dropping out. Don't miss us too much." Fred joked.

George laughed along, but they soon looked at you with a bitter smile.

"You think too much of yourselves, Weasel." You laughed, shedding a tear and slowly wrapping each of the twins in your arms.

They hugged you back, and the three of you embraced the moment.

"I guess this is goodbye?"

"Wicked." You smiled.
