"(Y/n)! Wait!"

You gave a sigh as you waved goodbye to the Golden Trio.

Turning around, you saw the blonde running up to you.

"What do you want? I'm going to be late to Charms."

"I.. could you meet me at the Slytherin common room tonight?" Draco asked.

You hesitated for a bit but reluctantly agreed.

"Thanks."

-----

It was late at night. You were waiting outside the Slytherin common room, still in your uniform.

"I swear if he doesn't show up-"

"(Y/n). Sorry I was late."

You turned to see Draco exiting the common room, refusing to make eye contact with you.

He didn't speak but kept walking past you.

"Draco? Draco! Where are you going!"

You followed the boy.

He didn't speak at all, but you decided to follow him none the less.

"It's past curfew. We shouldn't be doing this." You said, walking out of Hogwarts alongside Draco.

"Yet, we've done this before." He muttered quietly.

You arrived at the lake.

Draco took a seat next to the tree and patted the ground next to him.

You sat.

"Remember this place?" He asked.

"Yeah.. I do."

You've been here past curfew after Cedric's death.

The whole night here was spent with Draco.

"Good times those were." He continued.

"Yeah.. until you decided to lie."

There was a pause from the blonde.

"(Y/n).. I need to tell you something."

"Go on."

"I.. I'm sorry."

At this, your eyes widened lightly as your gaze shifted towards him.

Draco looked down at the ground and refused to make eye contact with you, his lips quivering slightly.

"You finally done lying to me?" You gave a small smile.

"I.. I don't know if this is the right thing to do.. but.. I'm scared."

You waited for him to gather up the courage to go on, but he never spoke.

"I know." You replied, shifting to look at the moon instead.

"I.. I have so many questions."

Draco looked at you with those grey-blue eyes of his.

You chuckled lightly.

"I know, Dray. I know."

His eyes widened at the nickname.

"What? You can't expect me not to forgive you for being forced as a Death Eater." You laughed.

"Besides, I promised if you ever did anything wrong, I'd still be here for you."

"You did? When?" Draco suddenly asked.

"The night after the Yule Ball, idiot." (Chapter 16)

Draco, for the first time in a while, smiled at you.

It was a genuine, big, and happy smile.

"I'm still so confused.. how do you know about.. that."

You paused.

"I.. there are things you don't know about me."

"Like?"

You paused again.

"..somethings just have to require the right time and the right moment."

Draco nodded understandingly, though you could tell by the look on his face he was still very confused.

"What about you..?"

"Excuse me?" Draoc raised an eyebrow at you.

"Tell me.. why you've been ignoring me." Deep down, you already knew.

You always have. Though, you still wanted to hear it from him.

"I.. did it to protect you." Draco said.

"You know I'm a Death Eater. He threatened to kill me and my loved ones if I failed my mission.. I couldn't risk losing you."

At that, you smiled.

"I'll be fine. So whatever happened to Cassidy?"

"Who?" Draco questioned.

You gave him a 'You're not serious' look, only to be returned a 'Sirius? No, I'm Draco Malfoy' look.

"Draco! Zoey! Zoey Cassidy!"

"Oh, you mean that Cassie girl?"

"C A S S I D Y . "

"Eh, whatever. Yeah, I dumped her a while back. Too clingy, you know? And plus I never liked her anyway-"

"Let me guess." You cut him off.

"It was all an act so I'd come to hate you and I wouldn't get killed.

Draco blinked.

"Something along the lines of that. It's not like I want Cassie killed."

"CASSIDY! GEEZ, DRACO!"

The two of you burst out laughing, sharing a wholesome moment together.

The laughs slowly died down into giggles which just ended as you two caught your breath.

There was a long pause as silence filled the air around you two, though it didn't feel awkward at all. In fact, it felt quite nice for once.

"Oh, right! I nearly forgot."

Draco shoved his hand into his pocket and took out a necklace.

"What's this?" You asked as he put it around your neck for you.

"Promise charm. To promise I'll love you and protect you forever."

You looked down at the necklace to see a little golden hourglass at the end of it.

You smiled.

"Thank you, Dray."

"Anytime princess."

You laid on his shoulder and watched the moon from above.

"So.. we good now?" You questioned.

"Y-Yeah.. but uh, one more thing."

"Yes?"

"Could you come to the astronomy tower tomorrow night.."

-----

The next day, you cast a disillusionment charm on yourself and quickly snuck out of your common room, heading towards your destination.

You arrived at the astronomy tower to see Harry and Professor Dumbledore.

You quickly dashed downstairs and hid there, still invisible.

That's when you heard a little creak.

"Harry, go hide."

He dashed downstairs as well and was now standing next to you.

'What is this ferret up to.. and where on earth is he?!'

"Good evening, Draco. What brings you here on this fine evening?"
