Nathan's POV

"Sit. The longer you stand the more time I have to stare at those hideous uniforms!" He snarled as he stomped up to Mr. Smith, "Is this how you greet new students? Do you always hide behind your desk with your tail between your arse?"

"No sir, I-" Mr. Smith stammered as he quickly rose to his feet, "-Apologizes, Sir-"

"It's 'Your grace' to you. Must I also teach you manners?" The small boy turned on his heels, looking his guards in the eyes even though they towered over him, "This seems like omega-discrimination, does it not?"

The guards simply nodded as Mr. Smith struggled to explain himself. The boy was bold for an omega, most omegas in the school were cocky- but not as loud as he was. Most omegas know that if they piss off the wrong alpha they'll end up hurt. Maybe he could tell Mr. Smith was a beta.

"You there, quit staring and come take my bags." I looked around but everyone was staring at me, "Yes you! Great heavens! Is everyone here post-heat? Must I do everything myself?-"

"I don't see why you can't."

The room went silent as everyone's fear pheromones spiked, yet mine were nonexistent. People around us were barely whispering now, their voices squeaky and shaking. Everyone was staring between us as if I had just insulted him.

"You..." His bangs hid his eyes yet I could feel his anger skyrocket. "You dare..."

The room smells sweet...is it him?

"Y-Your grace, would you like a tour of the castle?" Mr. Smith quickly changed the subject yet I could still feel the boy mentally murdering me.

"I would, in fact, I would like that brave one to be my tour guide." A smirk spread across his face.

"Your grace, I think-"

"I don't give a single fuck about what you think." His eyes bore through Mr. Smith as Mr. Smith's skin paled and he began to vanish like a ghost. "Bring the brunette."

What a self-entitled little runt

"Is carrying me around really necessary? You're already holding me hostage." His guard held my hands behind my back as I was forced to show him around campus.

"Of course it's necessary! What if you go into a rut and attempt to take advantage of me?" He glared, hugging himself. "I shan't be sullied by the likes of you-"

"I wouldn't mate with you if you were the last omega alive." He was starting to become a nuisance, but I didn't mean to be so harsh.

"Pardon?" His eyes were dark, as dark as a decaying body. "Care to repeat that?"

"I said," I gulped, "I wouldn't mate with you if-"

"Where you went wrong was thinking I'd ever give you the honor of mating with me!" He stomped away as his guards shared a look.

What a drama king

The rest of the tour was hell. It was like dragging around a bratty toddler, if I squinted hard enough he looked just like one. He stomped when he was annoyed, he crossed his arms whenever he didn't like something that was said, and his face had a constant frown. Everything was either "too tall for his standards" or "insulting his height" as if the school could help that he was short.

"Maybe grow a few inches and you won't have so many problems," I grumbled.

"Excuse me?!" He whipped around, his tiny hands balled into fists.

"I didn't mean to-"

"You meant it!" His distressed hormones sept into mine as he turned back around, "You just meant to say it internally."

Dammit, I pissed off the prince

"Look, I'm sorry-"

"Spare me your pity-"

"I'm trying to be the bigger person-"

"Pardon?" He gasped.

"I didn't mean it that way!" I could feel my pheromones rising with my rage. I took a deep breath, "Can we just get through this tour so we can never interact again?"

"You should be grateful you've had the honor of a conversation with me!"

"Oh, my apologizes your grace, how dare I not be interested in conversing with an annoying snobby little-"

"Ahem." I heard an all too familiar voice, "You boys seem to be getting along."

I looked up to see Principal Ray looming over us, his twisted smirk dragging from ear to ear. I stood up straighter as his eyes bore into mine, judging every single thing about me. I was already being criticized enough by the brat beside me and now I had to deal with Mr. Rule-Writer himself. I tried to keep my pheromones down but I knew he could smell the fear on me. He always managed to find something wrong with me.

"Yes sir," I spoke loud enough for him to hear me and low enough so he couldn't accuse me of raising my voice.

"You seem to have forgotten to align your tie today-"

"The hallways are filthy yet you're concerned about a student's tie? Perhaps you should rethink your priorities." His pheromones draped us as I watched Principal Ray tremble and twitch. I had never seen Principal Ray intimidated, but I could get used to seeing his eyes widen. "I must admit, I'm disappointed by your performance as principal Russell. I expected better of someone from the Ray estates."

"Apologies, your grace." Principal Ray gritted his teeth, "I'll have the school up to your standards by the end of the week-"

"You'll have it done by the end of the day." He smirked, "Now get out of my sight, your tie is giving me a migraine."

Principal Ray rushed off as I whistled quietly. For an omega, he was bold. He was so fearless, or maybe he was just careless.

"Thank you," I couldn't help but smile.

"He's a sheep in front of wolves, I don't understand why you fear him." and with that, he walked away.

"How'd you know I-"

"I felt it," he stared back at me, "I could feel your heart race."

How?

"Oh," I felt my face flush from embarrassment. My heart must've been vibrating the world around me. "Sorry-"

"If anyone is going to judge you, it'll be me and me alone. No one else is as qualified as I." His eyes pierced into mine, "Understood, Nathan?"

Are his ears...red?

"Understood."

I followed behind him by force but I didn't really mind. He was becoming somewhat bearable. He knew more of the school's history than I did but his father probably owned it. I couldn't help but admire his focus and aspire to have his confidence.

He's a pureblood and I'm a mudblood, of course he's confident
