Found it!
It was still on the beanbag chair, same place I left it last night. I turned it on and saw message from not Andrew as I had thought last night, but Mason.

Mason: Did you and your mom get to spend birthday night together?

Mason: Hello?

Mason: Yup, you're probably with her right now

Mason: enjoy! Happy birthday and goodnight love

Love? Love? LOVE!!!!!

Mason: Good morning sleepy head

Mason: still asleep?

Mason: sleeping beauty, new nickname unlocked!

I couldn't help but smile at all the messages. I took my time and replied to the questions. Now I regret not checking those notifications. Just like clockwork, he came online so we chatted back and forth for an hour or two until it was time for me to go. I woke up with plans to visit a cafe library today and now seems like a perfect time, the weather was great

Me: Gotta go, I want to check out this library

Mason: Should I join you?

Me: No need, it'll be something quick, I heard they had new book stock so I'll check them out

Mason: Alright, call me when you need me. Bye Amelia 👋

Me: Byeee

Mason: ❤️

I stared at the red heart for five whole minutes wondering what I should say, what I should reply. I gotta do something, anything but in the end I just turned off the phone and changed into a peach dress I felt comfortable with, grabbed my red scarf, wore my black flats and left the house with a holding a small bag slung on my shoulder. I locked the house and left the spare key in the usual flower pot and left

It was a short walking distance so soon enough I arrived at the cafe library. I got myself a medium cappuccino and toured round the new arrivals section. The new collection of books intrigued me but I had so many unread books that it'll be very irresponsible to buy new books so I took one to read. I grabbed a beautiful book with a golden spine Lady Anne Interesting tittle

I walked around and found a spot by the window, placed the half drunk coffee to my right and turned the pages. Right when I was about to get engrossed in the book, I heard my phone ring, it was Mason

"Hi Mason" I could feel my lips curving into a smile already

"Hey Amelia, how are you? I hope I'm not interrupting you library exploration" his voice sounded heavy

"It's going great, I actually found this great new book, Lady Anne is the name and it looks awesome" i sipped the coffee

"It sounds great too" he paused "did you happen to find Liam on your way there? Is he with you? Are you alone?"

"No I haven't seen Liam for quite some time now, and yeah I'm all alone right now. Feels like a solo date" I joked

"I can change that" he joked back

"Anyway what's up with Liam?"

"Nothing, he said he was around that side and when I said you were there, he said he may stop by" he explained "I called him to get info on something but he didn't pick so I thought he was with you"

"Oh, that explains it" I took another sip "Liam's not here, maybe he got caught up in something. I'm by myself enjoying holiday freedom"

"Alright, enjoy!" He said, "Bye love" he ended the call

I didn't even get to reply. But even if he waited, what could I say back? 'same love'???? Yeah no, I would be tongue tied. I placed my phone by the side and proceeded to read this amazing new book I discovered. As I read on, I felt human presence, specifically an unsettling aura of a male presence hovering over me. I thought it was Liam but when I looked up, I realized I was wrong. It was Andrew

"Oh my goodness Amelia, what a coincidence, you're here too" he smiled at me as sat on the chair by me

"Yes I am" I kept my eyes glued to the book, he unsettles me in all the bad ways

"I got cappuccino too" he showcased his cup like it was a trophy "wait don't move" he took a napkins, my eyes looked at him with suspicion and I am very sure he could see question marks floating on my head, he stretched himself across the table and dabbed the napkin on the corner of my lip "you had some coffee there"

"Thanks" I pulled back when he stopped to started one of my eyes, then my lips and back at my other eye. What the hell is he looking at???

"You're welcome Lia" I glared at him "My bad, "Amelia'" he used air quotes to say my name

I tried reading and ignoring his presence but that is impossible when you have an unsettling boy staring at every nook and cranny of your face and making it blatantly obvious. I needed to leave, quickly even tho it's such a shame, today felt perfect to read at the library. I stood up to pack my things then his eyes shot up to look at me

"You're leaving already?"

"Yes, I have some important things to do at home before my mom comes back" I lied

"Oh really, like?" He cocked his eyebrows at me and tilted his head

"Like..." I looked around and saw a woman carrying a shopping bag walking by "like preparing my outfit for a dinner with my mom and her friend" technically my first lie isn't a lie anymore because thinking about it, I'll probably do that instead

"I'll escort yo..."

"No it's fine, I'm okay, you can finish up here" I grabbed the book and the empty cup of cappuccino "I'll be off" I threw the cup in the trashcan and went to librarian so I can borrow it

Once the book was given to me, I walked out of the cafe with fast and long strides then started walking in the direction of home. Something still felt odd, I came to an abrupt halt and felt someone crash into me. I was an atom sized closeness to falling but thankfully I caught my balance before that happened. Just as I expected, it was Andrew, he was following me and making it pretty damn obvious

"Andrew. What do you want?" I asked

"What makes you think that? Anyway I do want something, a lot." He stared into my eyes and my heart froze with fear for a split second "but for now, this outfit you're talking about. The one with your mom having dinner, will you let me see it? I'm dying to know what kinda dinner would make you cut our library date"

"I'm sorry? our? There's no our here. It was just a coincidence that we showed up at the same place" I stated as a matter of fact "And the outfit why do you care?" He clearly thinks I'm lying and wants to pressure me into admitting there's no such dinner

"Just curious, it must be an important dinner"

"Yes, it is a very important dinner. It's so important I would leave anything to make sure it's perfect" I glared at him "And no, you don't get to see my outfit. Buy it for me and then we can talk about that" I joked

"Sure, how much?" He looked serious about this

"Umm chill!" I started walking while he continued following me. I stopped and looked at him "Listen, I have very important things to do and I am not ready for this. So, stop following and find something better to do"

"What could be better than being wherever you are?"

"That's it" I stared at him in disbelief "you're crazy"
