The first game of the season had started against DePaul. Caitlin passed me the ball and I tried to score, just missing and I ended up landing on the ground, I got helped up and was able to shoot from the free throw line. I saw Charlotte sitting behind the basket, almost directly in front of me, snapping pictures as I scored 2 points. Charlotte had a smile on her face which easily put a smile on mine.
We were playing in the football stadium and it was honestly freezing outside, all of our hands were cold, we all were rubbing our hands together to warm them up. I was now sat on the bench and Charlotte walked over the get some pictures, she was wearing an oversized hoodie with super long sleeves that covered her hands, she walked over to me, grabbing my hands and putting them between her warm sleeves. I just looked up at her and smiled, surprised she even noticed they were cold. We stood like that for a couple minutes before I was brought back onto the court and Charlotte walked back towards the basket to get some more pictures.
