"Kate don't listen to her." I said.
"Why is she literally publicly commenting from her main account?" Kate asked.
"She doesn't even know what she's talking about." Caitlin said, coming up behind Kate and patting her on the back.
"Yeah Kate she literally goes on her phone the entire game every single time." I said.
"Now I'm gonna play terrible." Kate sighed.
"Sometimes the trash talk is a better motivator than the support." I said.
Kate smiled at my words.
"You'll kill it Kate." I said.
The girls headed out of the locker room and onto the court, I followed close behind them.
The first quarter flew by with Kate having a bunch of assists already. She was on fire.
Second quarter came and Kate had scored some points.
When halftime hit, Kate came running off the court over to me.
"I told you." I laughed.
"Damn Kate, you're doing great." Jada said.
"Good job out there kid." Bluder said as she walked by and patted Kate on the back.
All the girls looked at Kate giving her a smile.
"Annie just made you have the best game of the season so far." Caitlin said.
The third and fourth quarter came and Kate was shooting like crazy. She had never tried to shoot that much before but she kept getting the ball in the basket. She even scored a three.
Caitlin was shocked and even let Kate shoot most of the baskets. But of course, Kate being Kate, she obviously felt bad and let Caitlin score a lot of points too.
Iowa won 113-90.
As soon as Caitlin came off the court I hugged her and congratulated her on the win.
Then came Kate, I hugged her and she squeezed me.
"I'm so proud of you Kate." I said.
