I sat in the OR holding Ava's hand.
"Suction." Dr. Marshal said. I smiled. Ava was getting her bone marrow transplant. It had been postponed but she's finally getting it. She's been on the list for a year and a half. No child should ever have leukemia. But I can't change that.
"Good job everyone!" Dr.marshal said. We cheered.
"Thanks for sitting in with her." Dr.Wakefield said. I smiled.
"She's my favorite." I whispered. He smiled. We clean up and I wheeled her back to her on for recovery. I saw Brenda giving her parents the great news. Her mother was crying.
"Faya!" Her mother said. She hugged me.
"Thank you so much for taking care of my little girl."
"Anything." I said.
"Means a lot." Her father said.

I spun my spoon in my frozen yogurt. It was my lunch. My shift was almost over.
"Hey Faye." Bobbie sat down.
"Hey Bobbie."
"So Steven proposed last night!" I smiled.
"Oh my gosh!!! Bobbie that awesome!" I cheered.
"Thank you." I looked a her ring.
"I see it: Robin 'Bobbie' Shaw!" I say. She laughs.
"Your awesome." She said.
"You want to celebrate tonight?"
"I can't." I said with a sad face.
"The Faye I know never has anything going on."
"I have a date."
"What's his name?"
"I don't actually know."
"Blind date?"
"Not exactly."
"What?"
"I met him at target."
"The my ex girlfriend pick up line?"
"Why does everyone know about this but me?!" She laughed.
"Who doesn't."
"Me!" My pager beeped
"Congratulations!" I threw away my yogurt and ran to Peds. I walked into Ava's room but Brenda stopped me.
"You paged me?" I asked Dr.marshal.
"Yes Ava wanted to see you." I smiled and walked in.
"Faya!" She smiled.
"Hey. How are you feeling?"
"Like I could run!" She said. A nurse was putting new dressing in her legs.
"Your very lucky."
"Thank you for being there."
"Always, honey." I kissed her bald head. I walked out to the reception desk and filled or some paper work.
"I brought lunch, babe." Ricky says. I laugh.
"Thanks." I took it and walked to the cafeteria. I sat down. He sat don't too.
"Why don't you go make a video with Jenn or something?"
"Cause I wanted to see you."
"Ricky we will never happen."
"Ouch." He placed two hands over his heart. I took a bite of my sandwich.
"I thought mane tonight I could bring spaghetti and ugh, go lady in the tramp on you." He smirked.
"No." I say.
"Come on, Faye!"
"I've got plans."
"Who is more important than your boyfriend?"
"You dating finally?!" Ray my co worker says sitting down.
"Haha, no he's just delusional."
"Really? I see your future." Ricky laughed.
"Just like you and Carly?"
"Hey! Not cool." Ray yelled.
"Saw you in marshals office as I walked in." Ricky said. Ray sifted though his food.
"What?" I ask.
"Someone's got it out for marshal!" Ricky says.
"Shut up Ricky." Ray said.
"You and Brenda!?"
"Me and what?" Brenda said behind me. Ray got up to leave but she sat him back down.
"Later." Ricky left. That's the best thing about having a fake boyfriend: they bring you food.
"Do I want to be here?" I ask.
"No were fine, please stay." Brenda says. They sit down and Brenda picks off Ray's plate.
"So ugh, you and Ray?"

I handed milo some paper work.
"Saw your boyfriend at lunch?" He asked. I laughed.
"Sure if that's what you call him."
"What is he so bad?"
"He's not my type."
"Am I?"
"Is that a trick question?"
"Maybe." He smiled.
"Faye I know your ped's but we need you in trauma, all hands on deck." Christina says.
"Talk to you later." I grab gloves and walk with her. I worked in trauma before I was in ped's.
"Motorcycle accident victim in respiratory distress....." Dr. Wakefield trailed on.
"Faye check on the other victim." Wakefield ordered. I nodded and walked over to another bed. This victim was hit with the bike when it slid down the street.
"It crushed my legs!" He complained.
"Sir I'm going to fix you up and get you out of here as soon as possible."
"I'm going to sue that guy!!" He ranted.
"Sir please calm down." I say. A social worker Ashley walked over.
"Wife is on her way."
"Thanks ash."
"Don't bring Regina into this!"
"She's your wife, she wants to know if your ok."
"No she's going to yell at me."
"This wasn't your fault."
"Tell her that." I finished bandaging his wounds and put a cast on.
"Your off." Wakefield said.
"Have a nice night." I say.
"You too." He walked off with Christina. They have a thing. It's adorable. It's goals. I changed and walked back to my car.

"How do I look?" I asked Jen.
"Where are you going?"
"The date."
"Your actually going?!"
"Yeah."
"Say in with me and we can watch the walking dead." She begged.
"He's cute."
"Me too."
"Later." I say.
"Fine."
"So I look fine?"
"Yeah, sure." She says. I laugh and grab my phone. There was a knock on the door. I opened it.
"Hey buddy!!" Jen said.
"Jenn!" I yelled.
"Jennxpen." He says. She leans in the doorway.
"That me."
"Saw you at playlist one year."
"Wish I could have remembered you, just so many people."
"No worries."
"So you take care of my roomie?"
"Yeah. Of course."
"Have a good night sweetie." She pat my back.
"Bye." We walked out.
"I'm so sorry about her."
"No problem, she's pretty cool. To think of it I think you might have been in a video or 2 with her."
"One. It was horrible and I haven't done one since."
"What did you do?"
"Dares." I said. He laughed.
"That bad?"
"Yeah, I had to smell dog poop for 20 seconds."
"Ewwww."
"Yeah."
"Well anyway, you look absolutely gorgeous."
"Thank you,-"
"Ethan Slade."
"Faye Dylan." We shake hands.
"Like Ricky Dillon?"
"Oh please don't start with me."
"That's pretty sweet. So if you got married-"
"I would only change the spelling, I've been told a million times."
"Sorry."
"No it's fine."
"Here." He opends the door and I get in. He walks around and gets in the drivers side.
"Where to?" I asked.
"Gjalina's." He says.
"Your splurging." I say. He laughs.
"Just a little." We walk into the restaurant and have a very nice dinner. After we walked out on the pier and walked in the sand. It was really fun.
"So can I take you out again?"
"Maybe."
"But really tonight was awesome, your something special, Faya Dylan."
"Your not too bad yourself." We laughed as we held hands down the beach.

We dropped me off at the door step. I could see Jenn in the window.
"She's like my mom. Close the curtain!" She left. He laughed.
"I don't know if I should do this." He says.
"Do what?"
"Kiss you." He took my chin in his hand.
"Do it!!! Oh my gosh!! Do it!!" Jenn yelled. We laughed with or faces inches apart. And we did. He left and I walked inside.
"Hey little mermaid." Jenn said.
"Your a nightmare." I say.
"Dressed like a day dream." She says.
"I'm going to bed."
"Night."
"Night."
