Chapter 28: Court House

  "Sarge, I have jury duty today."
"Eddie."
"What?"
"How's Beth?"
"She's good." I put my gun in the box and passed through security.
"I gotta call you back."
"Ok. We aren't doing anything."
"Ok bye." I put my phone in my back pocket.

  I threw a piece of popcorn at slater and he caught it.
"Yes!" He cheered.
"Whoop whoop!" The alarm sound.
"Team one!" I shout.
"Shots fired at the Henesey courthouse." Winnie says.
"Doesn't Eddie have jury duty?" Sam asks.
"Yes he does let's roll out. Faye your with Jules. Slater and spike with me."

  We pulled up to scene.
"Break down Winnie." Boss says.
"Your subject is Kate Saint, she's definitely not a saint. She was accused of the murder of her daughter Rose. But she never confessed."
"She's pissed." Slater says.
"She's after her former lawyer Shawn Kenneth."
"I need to know what court room he's in."
"Parker. All court rooms are locked." Sheriff says.
"Alright spike get me eyes and ears I'm calling Eddie." 
"Sam your Scorpio."
"Slater want you in the truck."
"I'll research the murder."
"Good idea. Jules you have a connection with her I want you to talk."
"You be carful." Sam says.
"You too."
"Faye you are Scorpio 2."
"Ok."
"Eddie where are you?"
"I need you to get it here and gear up."
"He's the back story.." Sarge explained.
"They took Eddie's gun and he can't get out." Sarge says.
"Windows spike?" I'm running up the stair in a building to get a view.
"There are on the 3rd floor."
"I see Eddie running in the 2nd."
"Eddie they are in courtroom 3." I set up my sniper.
"Get a gun and a vest." Sarge yells Eddie.
"Ok Eddie has a pistol and a vest."
"Sam Faye?"
"Setting up." Sam says.
"Getting solution." I say.
"Sadler anything?"
"Rose was 5 years old. Kate was released from jail 2 weeks ago."
"Slater and Jules gear up I'm sending you in."
"Eddie im sending Jules and Slater in."
"Eddie?" Sarge says.
"He disconnected."
"Boss he just entered the courtroom." I say.
"Damn it Eddie. Jules, slater go."
"Spike let's get hostages."
"K boss."
"Sam?"
"I don't have the solution."
"There is a balcony." I say.
"Sam get inside and get in that balcony."
"Got it boss." 
"Faye?"
"I have the solution."
"Holy it."
"Shots fired." Jules says.
"Go!" Sarge says.
"Faye what's going on?"
"They don't know that Eddie has a gun. He's a hostage. Jules is talking and Slater is covering her."
"Slater you protect her." Spike says.
"I got her."
"Sam status."
"Running."
"Faye."
"I don't have the solution."
"Sam get up there!"
"Setting up."
"Be stealthy."
"Hostages are cleared." Spike says.
"Not all." I say.
"Get them out."
"Eddies making this difficult." Sam says.
"I don't think you killed your daughter." Jules says.
"No. You know I have whirl in the way?"
"Keep it up Jules."
"Spotted." Sam says. Shits were fired.
"Status Sam?" Jules says.
"No harm."
"Faye?"
"I have the solution but it's wobbly."
"Sam!"
"Getting it."
"How about we let them go?" Jules asks.
"Ok." She says.
"Spike."
"Got them."
"Is anyone harmed?" I ask.
"No." Slater says.
"She's losing her temper." I say.
"Sam?"
"No solution."
"Faye?"
"I have the solution."
"Scorpio."
"Wait!" Slater yells. She put the gun to her head.
"Non lethal!" Sam yells.
"What's going on?"
"She's got the gun pointed at her." I say.
"Rubber bullets." Sarge says.
"I got her." Sam jumps off the balcony and Eddie takes the gun before she fires it. She collapsed to the ground crying.
"That was a good call Slater." Sarge says.
"Thanks boss." 

  We evaluated.
"Do we agree that Slaters call was appropriate?" Sarge asks.
"Yes." We say.
"Don't forget your on call tonight." Winnie says.
"Oh yeah." Slater says. Sarge closed the binder.
"Great work." He says. I threw a piece of popcorn at Slater.
"Ask her how many days until Adam comes back." Jules says.
"How many?" Eddie asks.
"302." I say.
"That's impressive." Slater says.
"What are we doing the Tonight?" Sam asks.
"The mayor is having a dinner party at the Hampton and we are on security with team 4."
"Adam is calling." I say.
"Put him on the tv." Jules says.
"One second Adam." I say. I put it on.
"Hey!" Sarge says.
"Hey. Just get back?" He asks.
"Yeah and we have security tonight." Sam says.
"How's Afghanistan?" Eddie asks.
"I miss Ethan's food." He says. We laughed.
"Yeah other than the food it's going pretty good."
"What have you been doing?" I ask.
"Yesterday I saved a camel."
"Wow." Sarge says.
"Yeah I know I deserve a metal."
"Can I talk to Faye?"
"Yeah." They got up and left.
"What's up?" I ask.
"Nightmares?" He says.
"Ugh, yeah." I say.
"I'm worried about you."
"I know. I worry about you too."
"Ethan bothering you?"
"No actually the Huntington hospital had a bomb go off and he helped doable a bomb and get some kids."
"Holy shit."
"Yeah."
"That sucks about the hospital."
"Yeah they are slowly rebuilding."
"Good."
"Slade!" He laughed.
"I got to go."
"Ok i love you."
"I love you too."
"And Faye?"
"Yeah."
"Living up to your nickname?"
"You know it."
